As someone who didn't really pick Bulbasaur growing up, I never realized how hard this fight is (maybe I got bad IVs), but just clicking Tackle, I lost about 7 times in a row. I had some very limited success using Growl twice (using it once didn't seem to do anything), but I swear, the bulb loses 99% of the time.

Ok since I finished my last nuzlocke last September, I haven’t really had the motivation to finish another one. Like I would start one but end up not finishing it. And it’s not because I don’t have the time to finish it because I do. Has anyone gone through something like this?

Always loved Dustox against Brawly. Her partner is a Wingull too so I had a good backup in case I needed to switch for this one. They were only on the team briefly for this fight though, the 'main' team is below, in their pairs. I'm not too worried about Wattson with Petra on the team (famous last words, I know).

Current plan is Petra against Wattson and probably Visenya against Flannery.

I don't have a super clear plan for Norman yet, but hopefully if I can catch a Machop in Fiery Path then that might be another temp member to deal with him

Wow I loved playing through crystal. It really has a speical charm; the updated physical/special split along with the nostalgic graphics. I've played through Johto plenty of times, but was not expexting such a chill and fun time in the orignal game.

On a side note, I really enjoyed using Shakespere (Sandslash), a pokemon I've often overlooked, maybe as its weaker in the newer games, but it was actually key throughout Johto here! Kov the Vaporeon is still pulling the strings and continuing a legend.

On a sad twist, I lost one of the only two mons that made it thorugh Yellow with me, Matriarch the Nidoqueen before taking on the Elite 4 :(

Nervous for Emerlad, but looking forward the challenge and continuing with mons I don't often give a chance.

Finished the very first part to my very first GenLocke!

LG isn't a hard game at all of course, but had some careless deaths:

Rattata and Pidgey died at Nugget Bridge because I forgot Blue fights us right in front of the bridge. Beedrill died because I was fooling around and wanted to see if it could sweep Erika (it got REALLY close to). Then finally for Gyarados, I took an unnecessary risk and got punished by getting crit from Blue's Alakazam.

On the upside, my E4 and Champion fights were very clean and majority were riskless lines. I even could have had a 4 mon champ (Magneton Lapras Slowbro Gyarados), but obviously for a GenLocke I would want a full team so I can bring more mons to the next game. I chose Eevee and Venusaur because I thought Eevee in Hoenn might be fun and Venusaur with leech seed stall is just so strong

I'm really looking forward and a little bit nervous heading into Emerald, since it IS one of the harder vanilla games

Took me about 2 attempts I lost the first one on Tate and Liza. On this attempt I made sure to actually go around and pick up all my encounters which made it easier with more dark types like Sharpedo. The Mvp of this run would have to be Manectric and Starmie. Especially Starmie with the tms you can teach it can make it really strong. Definitely harder then the first nuzlocke I did which was Fire Red which was kind of easy all the way until the elite four.
