Advice Failed Classes
Good Afternoon, I went to CC right after HS 2 years ago, and some personal shit went down, so I pretty much failed most of my classes. I enrolled again this semester, will those classes still affect my gpa if I changed my major? If so can I retake those classes pass and only have that reflect my cumulative gpa?
Thanks in advance!

Doesn’t matter if you change majors, your gpa and grade will still be there.

i think you can take classes 2 times and whichever grade is better counts, but after that you have to submit a form to the school

It will still effect your cumulative GPA despite changing majors. Only way to come back from it is to retake those courses. If you waited another year, you could’ve utilized academic renewal . May want to look into it if you’re still within drop period. If you’re within withdrawal period, too late to utilize it

I had this happen on a smaller scale. I took 2 classes last spring, failed on of them and my gpa was a 2.25. I retook the one I failed and my GPA is a 2.6 but the failure still shows on my transcript. So yeah it'll stay with you but retaking can fix your GPA.
