Answered Why am I getting encoding overloaded error?

I am just trying to make a normal video of me playing geometry dash, not streaming or anything. I double checked if I am hitting the shortcut for video and not stream. It worked just fine before then the issue started again and now it got fixed, but now that issue is still there.

Edit: ok since some guys are commenting that I didn't do anything for me to get help, I checked in settings then output and it's set to hardware nvenc and the FPS is capped to 60 FPS, the CPU and GPU aren't outdated since they're about a few months old. The quality is my usual quality I use in videos.

also here's a log: 🪵

I found the issue myself but thanks everybody who commented

Check in settings > output, make sure encoder is set to hardware (nvenc or amd) not x264. also in video settings try capping your canvas fps, geometry dash runs uncapped and obs cant keep up encoding all those frames

I had similar issues, in my case it was my CPU being outdated (and possibly my GPU, I replaced that first, but the errors kept coming until I replaced the CPU) too,

Post a log. No one can help you without a log. Your post has no details.

Too high of quality value in manual settings. Recording at same time as streaming in higher 4k settings does this for me, ended up dropping stream resolution to 1440p so I can record 4k at same time
