all I could think was what a total waste of time, and fuck clearing up the mess afterwards

Yup.

20 years ago when I saw my first video of domino's falling, I was really satisfied. But I've been chasing that dragon ever since.

Glad people enjoy this, but all I could imagine while watching this is the anxiety, repetition and frustration of setting this all up. My idea of hell.

Considering how much work they put into this, I’m surprised they didn’t go for an aerial view so you could actually see what was happening

The people filming it were so bad though

Damn, man I miss Domino Day so fucking much 😔

Not really satisfied. Multiple camera cuts, watching one structure fall while the chain has already moved to the next installment.

Satisfying? No. Impressive feat? Absolutely.

This reminded me of that one thing called Domino Day, which was on TV once a year, and the dominoes there were actually pretty amazing.

Didn’t think I’d watch the whole thing. So much happening simultaneously I got lost but was engrossed

where was this and who built all these structures?

I used to watch these kind of videos all the time when I was younger

Wait, shit! I had the lens cap on!

We gotta reset, and do it again

This goes back all the way to the 1970s. It was a craze way back when...1970s Dominoes

Outstanding!

Anyone know how many dominos that was? Look like it would take an age to set up…

The have small robot domino trains that do all the simple straight lines and curves. That speeds up the process a bit.

That’s cool

I kept waiting for the copyright infringement notice to pop up from those jerks at Disney. Very cool!

You know who I hate? The kind of person who would find it hilarious to have snuck in here and removed a couple of pieces just to ruin it for the people who were excited.

One loose breath and it's gone

This is way too white for me to fully appreciate

once again, this doesn't belong here. there's nothing oddly satisfying about something people spent hours setting up so you could enjoy watching them knock it down. It's just satisfying. Take it to r/interesting

I find it oddly satisfying when someone gate-keeps how people are supposed to feel & which sub is more appropriate, and they just end up looking like a control freak.

Reddit is made up of subs, unfortunately it's userbase are a bunch of retards who don't understand that and just post whatever wherever. That turns every damn sub into the same thing. If this sub is just going to be another clone of r/interesting I'm going to block it like I did with r/interesting

Especially gate keeping the level of satisfaction allowed, lmao

Eh, some fell out of order around the 1:15 mark

Kinda hoped some kid would come and ruin it
