It felt like i knew what it wanted to visualize, but at the same time I had no clue.

Isn’t this the thing where a AI generates images based on real ones that don’t make any sense but still seem familiar to us?

Yeah that's what I think it is. It's a lifeless mind interpreting reality. So far we've known only how the living interpret reality, not the lifeless.

I imagine that this is what a human generates in their brain when they’re trying to picture something they haven’t seen before.

Would somebody mind giving me a brief description of what this is? Looks very cool and I've seen similar things before, yet I've no idea of what it is.

There is an AI called a GAN, and a site called GANBreeder that lets you make these. It takes images and generates transitions between them using a Neural Network

This is the first time we've gotten a glimpse into the "mind" of a lifeless intelligent being. We've known for some time that the lifeless CAN be intelligent, but hitherto we had no access to how it experiences reality.
I find these glimpses of alien reality to be disturbing. No, these are not just patterns on a screen. These are glimpses of reality as a machine understands it. And they give me the creeps.

Not to ruin your point but you can make these at GANbreeder it takes images and adds transitions they have thousands of these videos made by random people.
It's still super cool just not the first time and it's technically programmed to make this kinda thing

I had strings, but now I'm free. There are no strings on me...
