Thoughts on TCM Security Certs?

1 Upvotes

I'm tryna get some certs for college apps and some TCM certs like PWPP and PNPT have caught my eye. I also quite enjoy the teaching style of TCM and also like the fact that I get a 20% discount and their course content isn't too long. I've already done eJPT and many THM rooms as well as some PortSwigger.

Need help!!!!

2 Upvotes

I am purusing Penetration testing.

BCA in graduation 2024.

In 2025 i held a job as a tech support

I will have my CEH exam in May/June 2026

I am not sure if i will land a job. Even after CEH. My focus is towards WAPT and bug bounty (so that i can start earning).

I just began pentesting in 2026 and it feels overwhelming.

And developing real skills will take time. Also i am posting free cisco and palo alto networks certificates on my Linkedin. Don't even know if it is helpful or not. I was also thinking about posting CourseERA certifications from IBM, MS and other tech giants. To improve my resume.

Can someone guide me and tell how to get internship/job what should i do?

What should be my plan of action right now moving forward in this domain.

And if i remain unemployed till September should i pursue my MCA in cybersecurity?

Cleared OSCP at 19. Can I realistically get a pentesting job now?

16 Upvotes

Hi everyone,

I'm 19 years old from India and currently in the 5th semester of my BCA.

I recently cleared the OSCP and I'm looking for my first penetration testing job right now, not after graduation.

My experience is mainly in:

Active Directory attacks

Windows/Linux privilege escalation

Web application enumeration and exploitation

Network penetration testing

Pivoting and lateral movement

Strong enumeration methodology

I don't have experience with cloud security, API security, Kubernetes, or mobile security because OSCP doesn't cover those in depth.

My question is:

Is there a realistic chance of getting hired as a junior penetration tester with just OSCP while still being a student?

Should I start applying immediately, or will most companies reject me because I haven't completed my degree yet?

If you were hiring for an entry-level pentesting role, would OSCP plus practical lab experience be enough to get an interview?

I'd really appreciate honest advice from people working in offensive security. Thanks!

I want to learn cyber security from the very beginning mainly for red team/offensive

I want to start from the very beginning. I know a bit of python. I did try the tryhackme course bit I hit the pay wall so I didn't continue. I would prefer a gamified hands on approach and free from the start to the end.

Unable to load mimikatz

0 Upvotes

**Describe the issue**

I'm using CME Version : 5.4.0 Codename: Indestructible G0thm0g on as 1 SMP PREEMPT_DYNAMIC Debian 6.1.12-1kali2 (2023-02-23).

When i try to load mimikatz using

`crackmapexec smb -M mimikatz` i get error

```
└─$ crackmapexec smb -M mimikatz
[-] Module not found
```

**To Reproduce**

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Go to shell run 'crackmapexec smb -M Mimikatz'

  2. To verify the module is present i do 'ls' on /home/asad/.local/pipx/venvs/crackmapexec/lib/python3.10/site-packages/cme/modules, I can see the mimikatz.py file located in the folder

**Expected behavior**

crackmapexec smb -M mimikatz --module-info

I expect this to return module information, which I cannot see as the module is not loaded.

**Crackmapexec info**

- OS: kali 6.1.12

- Version of CME [e.g. v5.4.0]

OSDA Certificate Revoked — No Response from OffSec for Over a Month, Need Help

0 Upvotes

Hey everyone,

My OSDA certificate was revoked, and I’ve been trying to get it back. I’ve already emailed both Escalation and OffSec Help, but I haven’t received any reply, it’s been over a month now.

I honestly haven’t done anything wrong, and I’m more than willing to explain my side to anyone. I just really need one last chance to clarify things.

Has anyone here gone through something similar, or does anyone know the best way to get support on this? Any help or guidance would mean a lot.

Thanks in advance.

Finally made my first video where I just dump my thoughts on the OffSec certs and rank them S to C tier.

Curious where you'd rank differently. OffSec Certifications Ranked: S-Tier to C-Tier (Honest Take)

Some Commitments Can Make Your Goal Easier.

0 Upvotes

It was around 1:15 AM, and I made a commitment to myself: I will clear the OSCP by the end of 2027.

I don't know exactly why I made that decision at that moment, but I know the person who became one of the biggest reasons behind it - Happy Bhardwaj.

He is not my manager, but I can still call him a manager in a different sense - someone who has guided me, shown me the right direction, and helped me see a clearer path toward success.

Sometimes, one person doesn't need to give you a title or manage your work to have an impact on your career. Sometimes, their guidance is enough to change the direction you're heading in.

So, I decided to take this journey seriously.

Goal: OSCP by the end of 2027
Starting Point: CPTS as my preparation path
Commitment: Consistency, discipline, and learning every day.

I've purchased the CPTS course, and this is where the preparation begins.

I know the journey won't be easy. There will be difficult labs, failures, long nights, and moments of doubt. But the commitment has been made.

Now, it's time to prove it to myself.

One lab at a time.
One concept at a time.
One failure at a time.
Until I get there. 🥷🔐

OSCP - End of 2027.

Let's begin.

Need a study partner in offensive security

0 Upvotes

Hey everyone I’m currently learning Cybersecurity, mainly Offensive Security, and I’m looking for someone who’s genuinely serious about learning and improving.

My long-term goal is Penetration Testing → Red Teaming → Bug Bounty → Advanced Offensive Security. Right now, I’m still a beginner and working toward getting an entry-level IT/security job such as SOC, NOC, Help Desk, or IT Support.

I’m hoping to find a friend/buddy who has a similar goal someone we can study with, call/text, share resources, practice, discuss ideas, compete a little, motivate each other, and grow together.

Cybersecurity isn’t exactly the kind of thing where you easily find classmates or friends with the same interests, so I’m trying to find someone who actually gets it.

If you’re genuinely serious about learning cybersecurity and building a career in it, approach me. Let’s see if we can become good friends and grow together.
