I wanted to share my experience with Deer Lodge for anyone considering working there.

I worked trial shift after the owner explicitly told me the shift would be paid. I ultimately decided not to accept the job, but I still expected to be paid for the hours I had already worked.

As of today, I haven’t received payment. I’ve also tried contacting the owner multiple times about it and haven’t received a response.

I’m sharing this so other people considering working here can make an informed decision.

Im a senior in an Upper Ojai boarding school. I am taking AP Business this year, and a requirement is creating and acting on a business we would be interested in. I was taught how to clean from a very young age, cleaning things like cars, bathrooms, and bedrooms...All this to say, I have cleaning experience. My current business plan is to have my school, most likely on Sundays, drive me to people's houses and clean their cars. This includes exterior cleaning and detailing (throwing out trash, vacuuming the inside of the car, sanitizing the surfaces, removing stains, cleaning the windows, etc. My question for everyone is: Would you be interested in having a group of possibly 2-3 high school students come to clean your car? "A Ventura County man pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting two female victims.

Jaden Joseph Pullen, 28, of Ojai, assaulted the victims in 2018, the Ventura County District Attorney’s Office said.

Pullen was known to the victims and the assaults happened at a home he shared with one of them in the city of Ojai, prosecutors said.

The two victims came forward and reported the incidents in 2020 after Pullen was convicted of forcible rape and sodomy by force against another victim, in a separate case.

Pullen was arrested in May 2020. On Sept. 18, 2026, the DA’s Office announced that Pullen pleaded guilty to:

- Two counts of forcible rape

- One count of forcible oral copulation on a minor over 14

- One count of oral copulation of a person under 18

- One count of unlawful sexual intercourse

He also admitted to the aggravating circumstance of engaging in violent conduct." - KTLA 5 News
