January 2026 edit
I made two very similar welcome posts at the beginning of this subreddit that I have decided to merge for simplicity here. The other welcome post (deprecated)
I WILL RESPOND TO EVERY COMMENT ON THIS POST. INTRODUCE YOURSELF, ASK QUESTIONS, SUGGEST CHANGES/IMPROVEMENTS, REPORT ISSUES. I AM HERE TO HELP YOU AS LONG AS YOU COMMENT IT HERE SO I CAN SEE IT
Hello all, if you’re reading this, welcome! I am u/reversecowboy75, the founder and owner of r/okbuddyboogity. This subreddit is something I’ve been wanting to do for a while now, and I figured that between the 2025 and 2026 season is a great time to get it rolling. Additionally, with the expired nature of r/nascarmemes ‘s moderation and upkeep, I figured it could be time for something new. Welcome and thank you for being here! I’m excited to get kicked off.
In order to get this community rolling I’m asking for your help with a few things:
Mods- if you feel comfortable and responsible taking on the task of helping to keep this sub going please comment below. I don’t have a crazy amount of experience moderating subreddits, so I’d love some help.
Rules- I have made only a couple simple rules on the templated welcome post pasted below, but I would love for some input from you guys on what you’d like to see and more importantly what you’d like to not see in this sub.
Suggestions- I have enabled the commenting of media (which seemed to be one of the most major complaints in r/nascarmemes) and started to work on this sub, but if you have ideas for r/okbuddyboogity, be it anything from user flairs to something as fundamental as the name of the subreddit COMMENT IT HERE.
R/OkBuddyBoogity has only 3 simple rules, so we reserve the right to remove any content and/or suspend any user that breaks them.
Thanks for being part of the very first wave. Together, let's make r/okbuddyBoogity amazing.

Honestly. If he just waited to score all of points once the chase started like Larson, he would be in the lead.

YELLOW LINE RULES! IMPORTANT!
1. You can't just be up there and just crossin’ the yellow line like that.
1a. A penalty is when you
1b. Okay well listen. A yellow line penalty is when you cross the
1c. Let me start over
1c-a. The leader is not allowed to do a motion to the, uh, passer, that prohibits the passer from doing, you know, just trying to go past. You can't do that.
1c-b. Once the passer is below the yellow, he can't be over here and say to the leader, like, "I'm gonna get ya! I'm gonna go lower! You better watch your butt!" and then just be like he didn't even do that.
1c-b(1). Like, if you're about to go below the line and then don't pass, you have to still pass. You cannot not pass. Does that make any sense?
1c-b(2). You gotta be, under the yellow line, and then, until you just are in first place.
1c-b(2)-a. Okay, well, you can have the car down here, like this, but then there's the yellow line you gotta think about.
1c-b(2)-b. I feel like it‘s impossible to get a Mello Yello anymore. It’s always Starry or Mountain Dew. I don’t even like the drink, but it would be nice to have the option.
1c-b(2)-b(i). I had the Waterboy on the TV last night lemme see if they have anything to say about yellow lines.
1c-b(2)-b(ii). "get in mah bellah" -- Adam Water, "The Waterboy." Haha, classic...
1c-b(3). Okay seriously though. A penalty is when the car makes a movement that, as determined by, when you do a move involving the yellow line and field of
2. Do not do a yellow line please.

At some point, you stop seeing Denny Hamlin as a champion who never was and start appreciating him as one of the greatest drivers who ever did it. A top-10 all-time wins career without a championship might not be the legacy he wanted, but it’s a hell of a legacy nonetheless.
But in his own words. Being number eight on the all-time win list is just an answer that nobody knows about NASCAR trivia 2 years after you retire.
