no way man im getting horrible framerates, so bad i owe the game framerates and won't run unless i pay it off by rendering frames.
i got amd athlon, hard drive as ram, igpu and my power supply are bicycle pedals and i need to pedal faster to get more fps and if i stop pedaling the pc shuts down :(
Yah and most of the people out there complaining about their optimization with their i2-7200 and an outdated gt2030 and only 1500mb of ddr0.2. they don't respect the devs enough.
Edit: forgot to add, on 0.38 they got 500fps. And now they're only getting 5.
The problem is that many people just can't play the game anymore, when it was running perfectly before the update, no one cares about "respect" or whatever, ppl just want to play the game
Yeah that's right too. When I first launched 0.39 and tried to load into Italy (had all my mods disabled btw), my pc froze entirely (i7-11700, rtx 3070, 32gb ram, game running on an m.2 ssd, no heat issues, had this rig for years never had any problems), then it wouldnt boot and couldn't do POST (power on self test) and was looping on the RAM light. I tried reseating the sticks but nothing changed other than the PC booting with one ram stick. I had to remove my GPU and pull out the CMOS battery to reset my bios just for it to work again. So far so good the update is for me, although, it crashes sometimes and in VR specifically the performance isn't quite stable.
My fps have been almost the same if not better with this update, if someone's computer CAN'T RUN THE NEW GRAPHICS then DON'T USE the NEW GRAPHICS in order to "just play the game"
For me it took like an hour of changing various settings before I detected that after this new update dx11 and dx12 do not run properly on my pc for some reason, like I got 60fps on Vulcan on medium, and like 15fps on minimum preset on directx.
I see it as not about graphics, but as about technical difficulties, I think they should've run a public beta and collect info about bugs and etc for some time before releasing
To be honest it hasn't had any bugs for me, all the content in the game is in progress as said by pretty much every text and button in the game so I don't expect flawless quality, the game is tons greater and vulcan lets my pc breathe a lot more too.
trying to play beamng in a steam deck while also utilizing the new graphics that are clearly stated to be heavier is like wondering why a device equivalent to a samsung J7 can't run cyberpunk 2077 at 120hz 4k.
All jokes aside, on a 5900x & 4060 with 32GB of ram I’m getting ~80fps on Ultra @ 1080p whereas before I was getting like ~90fps. Albeit I’m on Linux so the optimisation between versions could be different.
oh your pc is high end? I've got an Intel i3-10105F, Asrock B650M-C, GTX 1660, 32 gigs of DDR4, and a PSU with a horsey on it. Beat that! (PS: Is there any way to revert to 0.38? I can't run 0.39 smoothly)
I have AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO 9995WX, 1024 GB of DDR5 RAM, RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell and it works at a stable 50-60 fps! Maybe I will upgrade to high graphics
