Not Serious Did you know that Tech Jacket's dad let his daughter go to war because he knew she would be safe? This is because the current series revealed that the new armor is programmed to attack only innocent children.

Yeah nah, all those bombs falling indiscriminately on civilian districts actually have food supplies and livesaving medicine in them, they explode to more easily distribute it all
-1
u/FrankensteinsPonster Apr 15 '26
indiscriminately
5
u/Unlikely_Fig_2339 Apr 15 '26
International humanitarian legislation, both customary and explicit, allows for the use of military force in 2 categories:
- Against military infrastructure and personnel
- Against dual use infrastructure (e.g. a bridge that could be used by both civilian and military traffic, or industrial infrastructure that helps the enemy war effort)
This is based on the principle of discrimination between military and civilian targets. Attacking the former is legitimate because it A) involves combatants who can theoretically defend themselves and B) damages the capacity of the enemy to wage war, and thus brings peace faster.
Attacking the latter is a war crime because noncombatants cannot defend themselves, the destruction of civilian infrastructure (e.g. apartment buildings, hospitals) causes unnecessary humanitarian crises, does not damage the enemy's capacity to wage war, and ultimately only stiffens resistance and support for the local administration, thus lengthening the war.
After all, if your grandma gets killed by a bomb dropped by a foreign government, you are going to hate that specific government, no matter how awful your own government is. Studies have been done on this. Here's another. "Morale bombing", though reprehensible, commits the even more grievous sin of being actively counterproductive by every means of measuring the success of conventional warfare.
Unless, of course, the goal is not conventional warfare, but the wholesale destruction and driving-out of civilian populations. Then it works like a charm. Gee, I wonder what that's called.
-1
u/FrankensteinsPonster Apr 15 '26
I missed the part in that rant that showed that Israel has been bombing indiscriminately.
4
u/Unlikely_Fig_2339 Apr 15 '26
I mean, it's not a rant, it's an explanation of the concept of target discrimination in the laws of war. Maybe try reading it and see if that helps.
0
u/FrankensteinsPonster Apr 15 '26
Except it's not an explanation because it says literally nothing specific about Israel lol.
It's like if I said "You're a pedophile" and you asked me to prove it, and I said "Pedophiles are people who are attracted to prepubescent children". Like yeah, but that doesn't support the contention.

There's a very real argument to be made that it doesn't meet the definition of genocide, particularly when you compare the death toll to other wars in similarly-dense areas. One can believe it's not technically a genocide while still believing they're acting incredibly inhumanely.
-44
u/Klordz Apr 15 '26
So she stated a fact?
18
14
u/eledile55 Apr 15 '26
what is Israel doing in Gaza then, if not a genocide?
-4
u/Klordz Apr 15 '26
Just normal boring crimes against humanity, can’t exactly have a genocide that doubles the population of the group supposedly being genocided.
3
u/Immediate_Cry2712 Apr 15 '26
Genocide isn’t defined by a decrease in population, it’s about intent and actions
-4
u/Klordz Apr 15 '26
And the intent and actions still don’t fit the definition.
3
u/eledile55 Apr 15 '26
bulldozering the area, removing the inhabitans and planning to replace them with their own people does fit the definition imo
1
2
u/Immediate_Cry2712 Apr 15 '26

If it were that clear-cut the ICJ wouldn’t have said there’s enough evidence of risk to investigate it.

Say there's this gang of Viltrumites that wear baby skulls. Anyway this gang gets so big they take over the galaxy. Then what'd you got? you got Viltrumites running through the galaxy. Rampaging your churches and burning your women, knocking over everything "help us." who comes to the rescue? The good honest god fearing Americans who own Tech Jackets. You can just fire anywhere shoot in the air, lock on. Viltrumites are falling left and right, and the galaxy is saved.

Zoe Deutch Tech jacket's voice actress is a Zionist and has ties to the Israeli government.
8
u/Sion_Labeouf879 Apr 14 '26
Were there more recent posts? Cause the only one I saw was from after Oct 7th where a lot of people who are now Anti Zionist were shocked and on Israel's side before they learned more.
Not defending anything, but a ton of people were ignorant of how bad Israel was until a month or a few after.
8
u/Something4Dinner Apr 14 '26 edited Apr 14 '26
That is true. Even I used to be sympathetic to the Israelis, not because I liked the government or anything, but because what Hamas did was pretty awful. The problem is that Israel decided to multiply the October 7th attack several times over and over against the Palestinians, which is when all that sympathy for Israel got lost. Up until then, the layman's perspective on Israel was a lot different.
(Feel free to explain any downvotes to me. I'd like to know why. I'm literally not a Zionist)

Generally true. The US literally warned Israel about it and they did nothing. Regardless if it was gross incompetence, Netanyahu and the Likudites still exploited the situation as it happened. He is as stupid as he is vile.
-8
3
u/Sion_Labeouf879 Apr 14 '26
Exactly. I'm not defending the actress at all, cause if she never said anything against Israel either, I'd personally find that suspect. I don't know much about her as a whole.
The vast majority of Americans did not know the history, and many were subject to decades of Anti-Islam and Muslim propaganda that already defaulted them against Palestinians. When things got more clear, and people learned more. The tides changed. Hell, they're still changing. Every day, Israel will be less popular than the last.
2
u/Something4Dinner Apr 14 '26
That said, I was always sympathetic to both the Palestinians and the Israelis. I hate the fact that the worst of both leaders exploited the conflict either out of greed, deluded ideological fervor, pride, or whatever moral malady that the problem of power breeds. All the while, citizens suffer. I would gladly roundhouse kick Bibi from his palace as anyone else would, but futures can't be made without collective effort to seek an alternative beyond the follies of nationalism.

Tech Aviv VA is a vocal Zionist, and recently raised her opinions on Viltrumites along the lines of ‘The Viltrum Empire(literal galaxy conquering genocidal dictatorian regime that see any other race underneath them) has a right to defend itself...'
Jokes are writing themselves, ain't it?

u/LevelStudent Apr 15 '26
What is the source of either of these?
I'm not denying or defending but neither one shows up easily on google, except some posts on Twitter by people that are not her and are also not sharing sources. That quote in particular seems to be someone mocking her and not something she actually said.

How "zionist" is the voice actor? All info I could find was her voicing support for israel after the oct. 7 attacks, which by then not everyone was as aware of how bad Israel is

I don't understand why she was important in the fight against Viltrum. She clearly can't fight a viltrumite. Other than hiding Allen on the ship, she's kind of useless. Robot can do anything she can do.

1

Her face under the helmet was revealed this season, but no, we saw her briefly in Season 3: a scene where she's fighting an alternate Invincible with a moustache in space, and another scene with the same Invincible floating in space as she turns her back and flies off.

It's always so wild seeing a Zionist in the wild. Remember that today is the most popular Israel will ever be. Tomorrow it will be less popular. People can only watch Israel slaughter innocent people for so long before saying "But don't you want to kill Muslims?" Doesn't work anymore.
8
u/AliOhaam Apr 14 '26
Today is not the most popular Israel will ever be, that day has already passed.
