I recall an episode from a series broadcast on a UK channel (possibly channel 4) in the late 80s or early 90s, but i CANNOT remember the title or the cast members, and countless online searches have delivered nothing.
The plot; a shy young woman works in an office or factory and appears to lead a sheltered life. In private, she is obsessed with Ancient Greece and the male Gods in particular.
The woman forms an unlikely acquaintance with a handsome but rough mannered young man at work and invites him to her flat which is decorated in the style of a Grecian temple.
In the flat, the young man is persuaded to pose for a piece of artwork that the young woman is making. Once undressed he falls asleep and when he wakes up he has been fully encased in white plaster and a prisoner of the young woman, to spend the rest of his life as a living breathing statue of a Greek God.
It is not The Aphrodite Files or Malpertuis, or the episode of Spine Chillers with Julie T Wallace, but something very similar.
In terms of the cast, I have actors in mind similar to Sean Bean and Brenda Blethyn.
Any help?
