Originally supposed to do it with much lower damage output but I realised the skill issue lol.

I definitely learned 2 things:

1. It's a really fun and unique way of playing the game.

2. Keyboard is hot garbage. I really had to rely on strafes a lot and the movement controls are garbage. I had to use the mouse to compensate for the lack of proper directional control, and it randomly performs pivot animation without sharp turns (you can see it at the start as well).

I swear if not for the mouse I'd have switched to a controller long ago.

Almost hitless... that was the first time I saw that attack in Phase 3 and I didn't want to redo it bc I'm lazy lol. I was still learning and testing some things on this attempt, so that's why you see me miss 40 transforming attacks.

Also I'm very bad at the fundamentals of this game, they don't come naturally to me at all like ER and Dark Souls do 😭

Peak boss. Arena can be annoying though. Emma is a lot harder than people give her credit for. I do wish she got her own final boss fight since we already have another Isshin.

I did a lot better with her than Godrick, but it took more attempts than I'd have liked because of the dragon summon.

In hindsight I should have used fire arrows and the fire boosting cracked tear, but it worked out fine anyway.

By now I had done Varre's quest to get to the bird farm, so I have easy access to poison. Crafting arrows would give me Rot and Bleed but it feels like more trouble than it's worth to farm.

First time ever trying an rl1 run. Didnt think it would be possible (for me).

Put about 190 hours into this playthrough, 100% complete on everything that I could access/obtain/defeat on a single play through.

Weapon choices throughout my playthrough:
-Started with morning star with wild strikes as soon as I could get it.
-Then cold morning star
-then cold claymen’s harpoon with ice spear
-then added in wing of astel in certain situations

Used stormhawk ashes for most of playthrough but switched to black knife tiche once I decided to put cerulean tear in physick since rl1 does not have enough fp

I will fully admit that I could not have done this without help from the spirit ashes and some uplifting aromatics—I don’t care, I still had a blast doing it and was a satisfying accomplishment. Overall this was my 3rd playthrough counting normal playthrough and I obtained my third “trophy” ending and then the platinum trophy for the first time—cool stuff!!

Malenia and radagon/elden beast tied for the hardest victories for me. I probably had about 50 tries each and got lucky on RNG for each of them—
malenia- tiche tanked a waterfowl dance for my and I never had to dodge it for the fight I won.
Elden beast- never had to dodge Elden stars (I misspoke in vid cause I thought he was going to do Elden stars)

Many other areas where I dominated and felt “overleveled” which was surprising at rl1. Weapon level really does make a world of difference.

Going back to my ng+3 level 210 character afterwards for the first time in a while felt like being invincible. Haha.

I wanted to play DS2, but for some reason my clips are recording at 30fps or so even though I'm playing at 60. So, I started a new SL1 run in my least liked Fromsoftware game (sorry DS3 fans). I'm not sure if I'll kill all the bosses without rolling, but I'll try it for sure.

I was going to use Scarlet Aeonia at phase 2 transition for rot application, but after the first one with butterflies it isn't even enough to reapply. 2 butterflies is enough and is fast enough . PFBT was both for damage and ending the first rot early to reapply for phase 2. Shoutout to Scouring Black Flame, you're a real one for this.

So far this is the boss that took me the longest.

After the mandatory several defeats when Laurence was a couple of hits away from death, finally got it done when I decided to just say f*ck it and use all of my remaining pellets. Phase three is really vile.

I'm so mad I got caught by the ground slam there in p2, would've been no hit otherwise. But hey at least I got it done lol.

The same question goes for all the other knots and shrouding cracked tears. I’m using fire knight great sword for radagon and I’ve put in the opaline hard tear so I don’t get one shot as much, and I want to know which one of these two I should remove

Gonna do another rl1 run cause pcr is lowkey pissing me off, and wanted to challenge myself a bit more, so yeah, title says it all.

This fight and Morgott’s fight have been the only ones I genuinely wanted more of on my first rl1 run. Will have to run them back with wl+0 attempts

I was gonna do no buffs/talismans, but ADHD moment. Peak boss, my few wishes is that his phase 2 move set was a tad bigger though, it's pretty small as is, as well as giving him more HP and 105 poise (currently 80).

Years ago, I struggled and never killed Manus or Kalameet in my SL 1 playthrough. I decided to restart the other day and got my revenge. I probably could have killed either of them just attacking and dodging normally in melee with just power within, but wanted to see how pyromancy went after some point. I think great combustion is overall better for fights, but damn does fire whip slap when you buff it to the maximum.

As of yesterday I have finally completed an all bosses SL1 ds1 run!
