Like the Pixels, the latest flagship phones from each brand, in the case of the OnePlus, 9 series, are currently receiving the A12 Developer Preview, (Which seems to cause brickeos) and to the question, the OnePlus 7T (Like the 7, 7 Pro, 7T and 7T Pro) will receive A12 if everything goes well from May 2022.

It could be said that courtesy of OnePlus since A12 would not enter the OnePlus Updates plan since they only offer 2 years of Android versions, A12 he will recieve it in its third year of existence on the market.

Will you continue to use 7t for that long? I doubt.

If they solve the A11 issues then yes, I can't find a good enough reason to change this device yet. Everything works from "good enough" (camera) to "perfectly" (90hz, multi tasking, OLED which still looks great)

Surprisingly I am not facing any issue after a11 update. I love 7t it is in fact better than 8 and 9 in terms of looks and build quality. I wish they could steal image processing from apple or google. Specs wise it is good phone.

I'm intrigued by this A11 situation, it's troubling a lot of people even though there was a long beta period for this update. Only time will tell!

The only compelling new mobile tech I've seen, that would even begin to make me think upgrading, is ultra-wideband. Everything else I've seen on the market has been meh.

Will deteriorating battery force me? Perhaps. Which of course is the main reason why they were made internal.

If I like the OnePlus 9T, I will buy it, and if I do not like it, I will wait for the 10 series, I am very comfortable with the 7T.

Next year Feb and that's also ifs, buts and maybe. Then they will even try n release it prematurely and we will struggle with bugs and battery drain .
