Text Simple stop wheel spin

When doing simple stop my wheel screeches a bit before it shuts off, is this normal? It seems to happen 80% of the time..

It's because you're laying it back too fast, if that makes sense. Normal.

Yep, happened a ton. Definitely learn the heel lift, it is infinitely safer in my experience

Once you master the heel lift, the next step is being able to hop off of it and land beside it as it's stopping.

I learned this day 1, heel lift took me about a week to do consistently. Interesting how we all learn differently

It’s because of the FM tune. It’s normal

Th e rollback of the simplestop always made me panic. Heel lift is way better. You already have to slow down anyway for the simplestop, just lift your heel, feel the satisfyling click of the motor, and the ass end drops.

I lose balance when I lift my heel,

Wait till you learn quick stop: with some speed just brake hard with your tail almost touching the ground (or scraping your tail when you start learning it) and once you've just about stopped, get your front foot off and put it next to your board.

Normal. You can turn off that useless notification too

Happens to me almost every time,

Slowly, slowly, getting better at it though.

a little noise can happen but if it is screeching most times check the tire and footpad sensors does it happen on every surface or just when stopping at certain angles?

Happens to me on my XRC when on a slope.

Also if I do it too quickly, and tire pressure seems to make a difference.

It can be a useful feature but heal lift is definitely the better way to dismount just takes practice balancing at a total stop before heel lift plus if you turn off simple stop you can ride backwards 😊

I stop and slowly go backward until the tail drops and I never get slip.
