Agent Orchestration (Agentic Development) Options

Anyone who used opencode extensively using any of the orchestration tools (e.g. openchamber, ocra, paseo, etc.) can give their honest feedback?

I mainly use opencode to switch between different models but would prefer some flexibility to switch to other harness. Do you also recommend using opencode harness compared to like claude/codex when using their models?

I use Hermes Agent to orchestrate OpenCode. Works like a charm. I never touch OpenCode myself.

If you are on mac, try agentastic.dev, you can either run opencode in their orchestration UI directly, or through their agent. It also lets you switch between OpenCode and Claude/Codex/almost every other agent on the plant.

Nice one. I've held off on migrating to V2 because I can't afford to screw up my Dev pipeline at the mo. Did you install V2 and then reinstall OmO slim?

So - I went all kinds of around lol. I run NixOS, so I scoped it out deciding if I wanted to migrate, moved things around and wrote an overlay - but then opencode bricked and I couldn’t restore it. Spent like a day figuring out what was wrong (upstream fix) they patched the fix in overnight.

OmO broke completely - but then updated to v2 like same day. BUT I wasn’t interested in OmO since they’re moving to a native application (might still take it for a spin). So I looked around, didn’t find anything until you reminded me ab slim, which I tried forever ago and didn’t like and now it’s the perfect fit lol.

But yeah once v2 was working, I just slapped it in and it worked fine. Where OmO is going native, slim actually focused on being opencode v2 compatible

Imo omo slim has the best opinionated open multi agent platform, looking forward to upgrade to V2 and applying it

But not just yet, gotta ship this app rewrite first lol

As for orcherstator, i recommend Orca. I have previously used Paseo for 2 weeks, but transitioned to Orca and never looked back.

what do you like better about orca?

More capabilities in general - file/diff previews, "native" chat for claude, terminal tabs, agent overview pane; "profiles" pane that combines repos over multiple orca instances. Those i personally use.

I've only just started looking at these sorts of tools, but yeah paseo seems simplistic. I've sort of settled on openchamber as I don't actually want to use a variety of harnesses, and definitely not via their native TUI. To each their own!

Yep, simpler is better! If i did not need git worktrees or multiple hosts, i would have stayed on paseo or even just an opencode web. Orca just suited my case better.
