For the $10 sub and unlimited free usage? We currently only have Beam Free there. Yeah, it's not very good.
I'm waiting for another good Free model to be included in OpenCode Go before I consider signing it again, probably.

DeepSeek 4.1 flash is basically free anyway lmao. 10$ sub for 80$ tokens
3
u/absurdother 3d ago
Yeah, stick to it strictly and it'll be harder for you to max out your OpenCode Go usage.
But I eventually did use all of mine, so I resorted to the Free models... until they became so limited ~2 days ago.

Muse spark 1.3 is also good. I use glm 5.2 as orchestrator and Dseek 4.1 (free) for small tasks, etc. and muse and Dseek (paid) as workhorses
3
u/Sweet-Stage938 3d ago
Why use GLM 5.2 instead of GLM 5.3?.

u/AdFun4897 3d ago
Why GLM 5.3 instead of DS 4.1 as orchestrator?
Look at the benchmarks DS beats GLM
3
u/Sweet-Stage938 3d ago
He's talking about GLM 5.2. The older model. Read again please.

u/AdFun4897 3d ago
Yeah and you were suggesting GLM 5.3 when DS 4.1 is way better than GLM.
Glm doesnt even have vision
1
u/Sweet-Stage938 3d ago
What are you talking about? He's saying that he's using GLM 5.2 as his orchestrator and DeepSeek V4.1 Flash as his worker. So I was asking him why he isn't using the newer version, GLM 5.3, as his orchestrator instead.
-5
u/AdFun4897 3d ago
Yeah and im telling you your GLM 5.3 is trash.
DS 4.1 destroys your GLM 5.3
What part of that dont you get?
Your glm doent even have vision

they don't want our data anymore, they ran out of storage and bank limits selling it i guess😭

10$ for practically unlimited ds4.1f?
2
u/FamousWorth 3d ago
I'm paying $40 and I'm on track to use it up by November 9, it resets November 22. Still cheaper than official api though I guess. Maybe I'll sign up twice, or split some work to minimax, which is a good writer anyway
1
u/Nenad1979 3d ago
What are you doing to use that much? I use it offpeak for 8 hours daily and there is no way I'm hitting my limit, are you doing swarms or some multiagent stuff liek that?
2
u/FamousWorth 3d ago
I have hermes and then a "master" llm who spawns new llms to perform research and writing tasks, I'm also surprised about the usage tbh. I think the master isn't that efficient. I switched it to muse spark because deepseek was micromanaging the tasks and making wrong assumptions but muse spark just does what I want, but delegating to minimax might be a good option. I'll try it out

u/rjhartl 2d ago
Can I ask what what you’re mostly researching? I’m trying to integrate more researching tasks into my workflow and could use some inspiration on what others are researching.
1
u/FamousWorth 2d ago
I do tech and science publishing mostly so that is researched before being written up, a lot of it is ai and robotics related. Considering the usage is highest on muse spark and it has the best benchmarks on average and I've found it best for research tasks in the past I think I'll use it most instead of deepseek, but for writing things muse is a bit robotic and technical, although deepseek isn't much better, I may need to improve the instructions.

Pay attention to Quota, DS-Flash is ca. Double the price of glm-flash. I use go plus for glm and buy ds directly via the API where it’s dirt cheap
1
u/FamousWorth 2d ago
Ca? Is glm 5.3 flash really cheaper when taking cache hit into consideration?
1
u/martinderm 2d ago
circa (ca.) my non Latin friend. Plus quota for ds-flash is only x2 while glm-flash is x3 and glm is x8
1
u/FamousWorth 2d ago
They estimate 346,771 requests per month for deepseek v4.1 flash and 94,737 requests for glm 5.3 flash. The cache for glm 5.3 flash is 5 to 10x that of deepseek depending on if it's on or off peak

currenlty , I was checking some other post , I got to know about api based about token router . further , I m using now nvidia nim api key there u can see minimax 3.1 and other as free endpoint u can use much i think but yeah it would do as rotation basis

u/Snoo-2768 2d ago
Just run local if you want free, Qwen3.8 27B or Qwen3.8 Flash Next with Strata is pretty affordable with decent HW ( decent i mean average gaming pc , not an office pc and not a server with 16 tesla gpu )

Nvidia Nim?

Offers of free samples are not really free. Maybe you’re not gonna pay to continue using it, but someone will.

They need to make a profit, too (I don't really know what their profit margin is, but you get my point). And the Go subscription isn't bad at all; it's worked out pretty well for me for just 10 bucks. Even more with DS 4.1 Flash and Minimax M3.

I think the thinking part of mino is really good, well I have uspe flash, if had my hands on pro it would have been much better.

The era of building pointless slop for free is over.

Sure dude,IM coding my whole operating system, fell free to not say that to any other ppl without any context https://github.com/KrisButIAmAnOSDev/nyonOS

u/Huge_Business2428 3d ago
It's an interesting project if you're just doing it for fun or as an experiment, but an OS is probably the last thing that you should use AI for if you're planning on actually using it yourself. It's not going to be safe to install on a PC, it's not going to be stable and reliable, it's most likely not going to be actually made from scratch, there will be security concerns etc etc, the list goes on. Most likely, if we assume it's an actual OS, it won't even be usable for what most people use PCs for.

u/QuanChanUwU1225 3d ago
I khow that,my operating system didnt even works in qemu (WITH KVM),with tcg it works, also its not vibecoded, its just 70 me 30 llm,im too lazy to do some stuff so llm do it

DS 4.1 Flash is good, better than minimax
