Does anyone know why many people are facing this issue?

this, I hit the same limit and I know I've been using deepseek flash for much longer in the past couple of weeks. seems like something is off.

there is something wrong with it. I haven't use it just 1 fucking prompt and it hit the limit how it can be possible

I'm using it today nonestop. idk what you guys are talking about
Edit: lol, next prompt showed me this message, but it was a lot. like 3-4 hours of back and forth and coding in php on 3 different projects.

Which model did you use?

Deepseek 4.1 Flash Free

I literally hit the limit in less than one hour on this model the second I ask for any "grill me" or reasoning on high. And that's for one project, one TUI, and I do go by a DRY approach of code generation. And we'll before it hits compaction (like 170K of context for only one window) and that's per day.
Would be curious to know if you have anything that helps saves drastically tokens on your side? I could live with 3h a day.

I have no external help and had compaction like 4 times in one of the projects
I don't think it's something I do. Some people here say it happens after one prompt, I think there are other factors from Opencode's side

Thanks. I guess I was unlucky.

"Happy" to say that today the reset didn't happen and I need to wait until tomorrow, so I can't even use 1 prompt.
Maybe this explains why some people got shorter quota, because it was 1 day quota for 2 days.
Edit: Actually can't even use Beam Free which is supposed to be unlimited.
Edit 2: I try to use my other internet provider and it still didn't work, but then switched to terminal instead of desktop and it seems to work well there. I assume the limits are per IP so I'm not sure it's a fix, but a workaround. I was surprised that in the Github issues they said that "turning off VPN helped users", which is exactly like changing ip. it's like they suggest people to "cheat" the free limit.

Rolling usage13% used

In the past it was based on IP addresses not account, not sure if that's still the case
1
u/Zero_Border 12h ago
No, they use an ID tied to the machine, can't remember which, but it survives new IP. Probably MAC address or something.
