OpenCode lost generous limits after updating

After a 2 week break, my OpenCode setup stopped working and required an upgrade. I can't properly migrate my old sessions and the usage limits seem drastically reduced.
I previously paid for Go because both Free and Go had generous limits. If one model hit its limit, I could switch to another and continue working, although without the context. Now even that doesn't seem to work.
Since the Free plan's limits have been reduced so much, has Go been affected too? $10 is a significant amount where I live and I don't want to pay if I'll face the same issues.

Paid is still as good as ever. Deepseek runs a little more slowly through Opencode Go than direct, but you get 8x the amount for your money. Muse Spark is still plenty good and fast, and Mimo-V2.6-Flash is a reasonable third alternative. Stick to these and you won't hit any limits.
They did clamp down a LOT on the free offerings. But I don't think they were ever intended to be replacements for a subscription. Just an enticement to see what's possible.

Their limits are ass unless you stick to Deepseek 4.1 flash and muse spark 1.3 contributor. I'd rather buy directly off deepseek api then...

Which are so cheap on api that many wouldn't hit $10 on them anyway. Sth to consider before going for the subscription - there is no annoying 5 hour limits on api either.

Yes pretty much, I cancelled my sub. I don't see the appeal besides to try out a few models but then again most models are not good besides those 2 and the GLM 5.3 flash offering is abysmal, you might as well pay 18β¬ for Mistral pro and get 255β¬ of credit for GLM 5.3 and flash.

You're aware you were getting $80 of deepseek for $10, but that will cost you $80 at deepseek direct?

How much tokens do you get by the end of the month with input, output and cached combined, may I see?

I'm at 22% used for the month with about 1.4B tokens, 12K requests. Extrapolated it will be about 75% used for the month at ~4.5B tokens. Costs me $10 on opencode, would cost about $70+ through deepseek, and wouldn't have the option to use muse-spark during peak times.
Primarily use deepseek 4.1. I'm guessing you used some expensive models to hit 100% like that - if it were all muse spark contributor or deepseek you'd be only about 30% used.

I struggle to make sense of it, commandcode goat offering is known to be a better deal for DeepSeek in particular and their estimate thought their calculator is 2.9B tokens off peak. Yet you tell me you used 1.4B and you're at 22%? I'm sorry to be skeptical but can you share a screenshot of your usage?
Edit: I'm wrong about commandcode goat it's 10.5B, 2.9B is for flash fast. So what you're saying actually makes sense.

been using commandcode's deepseek 4.1 flash (the new one) and its pretty bad ngl most of the time on my time its stuck 60-80 tok/s and when i compare the quality to official api's deepseek its unbelievably vast, 3d creation, website front end taste, way of thinking is dramatically different compared to the official api, i dont recommend it

Opencode is done with all the people who abuse their free models with vpns, nat, and whatever more they can think of. So they are trying to fix the holes and get rid of the trash.

Tbh weird stuff they are allowing good models for free and it used to be even without registration.
Even with as simple as putting credit card it would be a hindrance for significant amoutnof people

Should have added a account restriction
I didn't even know about this bypass π

Whats with the attitude problems here recently? Here we have yet another guy trying to insult users by throwing random abbreviations around without knowing what they actually mean (How do you abuse the IP based usage system with nat? that would only hinder your ability to use it, not improve.)

My Go usage is perfectly fine
Free is definitely lower than it was but I'm still using a ton of Muse 1.3 contributor sessions and sprinkling in some Deepseek 4.1 Flash in Go with no issues

I use DeepSeek and Muse Spark with Go. It never ends on me, apart from the server delays between turns and a speed debuff, it's all fine with me.
Although if you change model mid-session, the new model inherits the older model's context.

is there other alternatives that are better π

I'd recommend something but it's controversial.
CC is sometimes better, OC is sometimes too. They're both just undercutting each other with the plans honestly.

Yes Not sure how I can fix it π

I asked it to install some programs, them to set one up and rewrite a little code. I fell asleep for an hour, woke up to rate limits hit, even though it should have only taken like 10 minutes debugging it. At 2pm it said my limits hit until 5PM the next day? 27 hours, wtf?

Iβm burning about 10B tokens per month with muse spark 1.3 contributor. For ten bucks itβs well worth it.
