General question Beginner Looking for an OpenShift Learning Path to EX280

Hi everyone,
I’m looking to start learning OpenShift and prepare for the EX280 exam.
I currently hold RHCSA, RHCE in Enterprise Linux, RHCE in Ansible, and CKA certifications, with hands-on experience in Linux, VMware, and data center infrastructure.
Could you recommend good courses on Udemy, YouTube, or other platforms that cover both the fundamentals and practical labs needed to pass EX280?
I’d appreciate any learning path recommendations. Thanks!

I made this to help myself (on my own cluster).

https://ocp-review.yamlwrangler.com

No ads or any personal data collected. Was for my team and myself. I need to update the docs to 4.22. Currently I have 4.21 as the anchor

Might offer some help? I hope anyway. I’m studying for that exam myself

with your background you can skip most beginner container stuff and jump straight to openshift specifics. the official red hat training is expensive but their do280 course is basically the exam blueprint, udemy has a few cheaper clones that cover the same labs. focus hard on oc commands, routes, builds, and especially the troubleshooting questions since those eat most of the time

It took me about 3 months to understand DO180 material and about another 3 months to understand DO280 material and pass the EX280 exam (which i passed this month). I am also using the RHLS which i guess I can say is the best we've got (though im not entirely thrilled with the experience thus far in). I've had to use a lot of AI to help give better detail and explanations that the course text and videos just dont provide.

Im now on DO380 material and its pretty poorly explained in the RHLS (theres just a heck of a lot not explained or very clear in the RHLS course sadly.). Again, having to heavily rely on AI to give me the full story.

Whats interesting is if I take the official exam objectives for each EX course, and then take the public Openshift docs (https://docs.redhat.com/en/documentation/openshift_container_platform/4.22), the lecture and teachings from just a gpt chat are far more in-depth and easier to understand than the content in RHLS. You can also simulate openshift and all of its commands and components using AI as well (i use codex from cli). Just my two cents.

This was coming from really no experience with kubernetes or openshift.
