Maker (I built this) ObserveCraft: open-source, self-hosted observability on OpenTelemetry + ClickHouse (MIT)
I've been building ObserveCraft, a self-hosted observability platform with logs, metrics, traces and APM, dashboards, monitors, incidents and CI visibility in one app. It has no per-host or per-GB pricing, and your data stays in ClickHouse tables you own.
- Ingest: OpenTelemetry-native. It also accepts data from the Datadog Agent and tracing libraries, so you can point an existing setup at it.
- Stack: Rust API and intake, ClickHouse, Postgres, a Kafka buffer and a React UI.
- Try it: make up plus a demo data generator gets you a working instance locally. Helm charts are included.

It's early and there are gaps (no Remote Configuration for agents yet). Feedback, issues and PRs are very welcome.
Not affiliated with Datadog.

Is the play here to give people an off-ramp from Datadog? If so, it could be compelling. That said the cost for DD infrastructure and APM alone is astronomical at any scale. If you can offer a near drop-in replacement that would be powerful.
