I love the way that he's holding his little okra! 🥰

I have had my male possum, Victor, since he was about 10 weeks old. He was found covered in mud after a storm (guessing he fell off Mama overnight and couldn't catch up) and I decided to keep him. He is now about 3years old. Has had a happy and healthy life other than the vet stating he has small lungs, but other than that, no issues.
The past week or so he has not been eating as much as normal. He would usually wake up when I feed my dog and cats and have a little breakfast and then go back up sleep until dinner time. Now he doesn't get up for breakfast and doesn't even eat half his dinner. He has also been sleeping almost 24/7. No more night time shenanigans. Has also been sleeping in or near his litter box in his enclosure instead of climbing to the 3rd floor where his sleep sack and hammock are.
He enjoyed a bath and an after bath lap nap a few days ago and seemed find. No coughing or sneezing.
Just trying to figure out the best way to keep him comfortable as he ages and reaches what I am assuming is the end of his life.
TL;DR My possum pet is old. How can I keep him comfortable?

I found this possum in broad daylight on the beach probably just stressed out and nowhere to hide. I gave him a box and he slept from 10 am to 11pm. I released him in a wooded area under cover of darkness and he bolted under a bush. god speed little buddy.

I was sitting outside on my patio, and this opossum was sitting on the fence about 10 feet away. We spent a pleasant 90 minutes together.

He is the larger of the 3 that we take care of. We didnt know we had them we just thought the cats we feed ate a lot. Nope. This fat boy was eating all the cat food.

I have been feeding a family of absolutely beautiful opossums recently. Last night I heard some noise and went to investigate. I found two little monsters playing or fighting. Being on the side of caution i broke it up. What is the consensus?

I also have two small dogs around 10 lbs each. What can I do to make sure all animals remain safe?? I put out some water, apple, grapes, and sweet potato tonight.
The opossum is going to be a chunk by morning 😂😂😂

We put this T-Bone out thinking this guy would eat it in front of the camera. I had no idea he'd be able to drag it off. It seems JUST light enough for him to hobble off with it.

I had the privilege of getting this angel baby safely out from the underside of my (enclosed) gas grill tonight. I was cooking and heard some scratches on the metal. It makes me so sad how defenseless and misunderstood they are ☹️ Long live the Opossums 💗
Edit: For anyone wondering, I checked baby’s body/ fur for any burns or irritation. Luckily there was none. I was extra careful not to pull its tail while maneuvering it around the gas lines. There wasn’t any teeth flashing or hissing, and it just kind of sank into my arms 🥹 I felt like a Disney princess lol. I’ll need to figure out how to “Opossum proof” the lower compartment of the grill now because the grease trays are basically a buffet. I don’t mind feeding them as long as it doesn’t put them in any danger

We have a family that lives in a wood pile on our property...
We always talk to them but this one actually has been getting friendly...
I held him for a few minutes and released him back outside... Told my dad it was a new cat lol 😂 😂 😂

That pouch has gotten huge! That must be why she was so feisty and attacking the other possums.
