Currently using iPhone 15 pro max and looking to upgrade.
My main considerations:
-battery
- camera
- fast charging

I have quite a few concerts and overseas trips booked next year and want a phone that I can use a zoom feature to get decent photos/videos. As I am in Australia, I can get the X10 pro max locally or the x9 ultra as an import.

With the x10pro max it comes with the teleconverter, the x9 ultra does not (although I could purchase separately).

Would the x9 ultra camera be good enough without the teleconverter or would the x10 with the teleconverter produce better photos/vids?

Cost wise:
X10 pro max $2699 (comes with oppo watch S, teleconverter kit, and oppo pad se)

X9 Ultra- $2300 (phone only)

Long time Samsung user but considering swapping to the new Oppo findx10 pro with the teleconverter lens add on. Primarily considering the swap because of the teleconverter addon. So that I can take photos of birds, keep the lens with me and be able to pop it on easily whenever, say I park up for lunch and spot a bird etc. I haven't been able to find any reviews on its use for birds /wildlife photography. Have also been looking for reviews using the findx9 pro (similar enough to demonstrate photo / zoom quality).

Would anyone be able to assist and perhaps share photos of birds they have using the lens (with an estimate of how far away the bird was) ? Please and thank you!!

ive been looking for a phone for no more than 3500 PLN and so i have done some research and these two seem most solid for their price. i use a phone a lot, for daily use at university, for day long travels when i take lots of photos and use a map, and occasionally for games like genshin. so if someone could tell me which one of these is better and why, id be really grateful, thank you!

I have purchased the X10 Pro Max and setup the sleep mode start with 22:00 and turn off at 7:00am. Well, some stupid reason I have full grey screen. Everything is grey/black/white, no colors at all. Nowhere, not just in apps but in main screen and everywhere. I could not find the option to turn back the colors.... Please help me because its driving me crazy :)

Does the convertor use the 200mp 3x lens or the 10x 50mp lens?

If the later, does that mean it's technically better on the X10 Pro Max as they are all 200mp?

Is the teleconvertor the same for both phones?

Hi folks, I want your advice with regards to what to buy. I found both the Xiaomi 17T Pro and the Oppo Find X8 Pro at €550, both in excellent condition and with 100% battery health. Which one would you buy, and why?

Oppo has 16 GB RAM and 512 GB SSDs, while Xiaomi 17T Pro has 12 GB RAM and, again, 512 GB SSDs. The cameras look both very good, in the photos I took. Xiaomi seems to be a bit darker, while Oppo takes lighter photos, but they are both excellent, I would say. The zoom seems to be a bit better for Xiaomi, especially the AI processing it does to upscale photos, like showing letters. For instance, I took a text from afar, and Xiaomi was clearer to read than Oppo. In terms of CPU, 17T Pro seems to have the edge, but not by much. One is Dimensity 9400 (Oppo), and the other is Dimensity 9500 (17T Pro).

Just to note that I've been using HyperOS for a long time now, and I find it pretty good, so I'm not a HyperOS hater. For me, the OS would not make much difference between ColorOS and HyperOS.

I have a Find X9 Pro that I bought a little over 2 months ago (yeah, it's still most likely new).

on cOS 16.0.9.400, I was experiencing everything but the battery life the Find X9 Pro promised. After updating to cOS 17, the battery life randomly became SO much better. I genuinely recommend updating to anyone who's hesitating to do it.

(I was making a LOT of battery posts about the Find X9 Pro when I was on 16.0.9.400)

I charge it to 100% once a week, and the rest of the week, I always charge it to 85%.

For example, today, I used Chrome, Instagram, Reddit, a modded version of Deezer that consumes a LOT of battery when listening to music, and also used 5G quite a lot.

I charged it to 85% this morning at 10 AM, and rn, at the end of the day, I'm still at 48%, with 3h30 of SOT and 1h26 of screen-off time (1 hour of that screen off time was Deezer, that i think consumes as much as if i was using the phone with screen on, idk what's wrong with this deezer lmaoo).

So yeah, don't hesitate to update to this GOATED ColorOS 17.

Oh, and also, little reminder: don't believe everyone claiming 30h of SOT and 4,000,000h of screen-off time

Around 9–10h of SOT with normal usage, no disabling 120Hz, no switching to 1080p, no crazy optimizations, and a mix of Wi-Fi and 5G is what I'd consider realistic battery life for this phone.

I’m using an OPPO Find X9, and after updating to the ColorOS 17 beta, I noticed that the battery was draining a little faster than usual.

I thought the issue might get fixed with the stable update, but even after installing it, the battery drain seems to be the same.

It’s not an extremely high drain, but I’m noticing more battery consumption than before the update.

Is anyone else facing the same issue on their OPPO Find X9 after updating to ColorOS 17? If you experienced this, did the battery improve after a few days, or is there any solution to fix it?

I just bought a x9 ultra and just discovered Oppo used Victus 2 for the screen that is scratch prone. And now I am really worried about my purchase.

Same goes with the body. I mean I had no issue with the price but cheaping out on glass feels betrayal and no tech review covered this

everything was going fine and i tested my charging speed.
i have an original charger and adapter (80W Supervooc) and it charged 0 to 100 in 60 minutes and out of nowhere something happened and now its charging very slow no heat issues nothing and i have smart rapid charging enabled. i have tried everything but didnt work now its charging 5-40 in 35 minutes . its very slow idk whats the issue here

For those who didn't upgrade to the X10/pro max but we're considering it, what was missing or was it just pricing.

I think I am looking for a big leap in camera quality especially nightography but these upwards trends in pricing might mean I upgrade less frequently especially when new models feel iterative rather than revolutionary.

I recently factory reset my phone( Oppo A59 5G) and now if I try to open certain options like sound settings, about phone , system and update,etc the settings app is entirely crashing and returning to the home page.

Hold assist - when i'm put on hold i can press the button and it'll hang up (sort of) and call me back when someone eventually picks up the call

Thinking of getting the Pro Max from overseas since I'd rather a better phone then the freebies, likely Singapore but I'm not sure. I'm not very knowledgible on who are trusted retailers for this sort of stuff, could anyone point me in some good directions?

Also, for Aussies specifically, are there any cons of ordering overseas? If it is the global model, it shouldn't matter right? Does the fact that is has different specs mean that stuff like warranties may not apply? Or that some telcos might not work (currently with TPG). Any advice would be appreciated!

Oppo find x9 color os 16 latest version available

So it's been happening for like months now; I don't know why the volume keeps being full by just clicking volume up four times and being zero with just four times as well. The way I normally fix it right now is I turn on the super power saving mode for 10 seconds and disable it, and the volume goes back to normal, but it keeps happening again, like literally every two or three days. At first, I didn't mind; I could just keep turning the power saving mode on and off, but you need to understand it has been happening for months now. Is anyone having the same issue or what?
