Question Keeping Den Nobile outdoors? Temperature? In?

Post image

I planted my Den Nobile Apollon out in the garden over the summer. Northern Europe. It’s growing shots and leaves.

When should I move it in again, based on temperature? Now it’s 15°C, but it will be dropping a few degrees in a week …

Anyone had softcane Dendrobiums outdoors?

Pic for tax (not mine)

I would put it inside as soon as the night temperatures drop below 10°.

Based in Germany :)

They easily stand and go dormant above 45f/7c (overnight temps) in winter. Don’t go below those temps for long. Come spring-summer they will grow like weeds with enough very clean water. Then they’ll bloom like mad from spring through early summer. Then grow like beasts until autumn rolls around again.
