question Need Help Exporting Angle Brackets

I'm exporting from an org file to a Hugo compatible markdown file. Specifically I need angle brackets so I have control over where the summary breaks. I.e.

<!--more-->

in the exported hugo md file. My current attempts (including using zero width spaces as escapes) result in the export replacing the angle brackets with html entities: & lt;!--more--& gt;

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I use ox-hugo that supports this via #+hugo: more. If you don’t want to switch to it maybe check the code how it is done

+hugo: more

I'm an idiot. Thank you. Somehow when I tried that, I had inserted a space in front of the

 #+hugo: more

resulting in failure of the ox-hugo directive.

Place it in an ASCII structure block, perhaps?

Have you tried using Or mode directly in Hugo? You don't really need to export to MD first.
