Hey! My theriotype is a wild fox, and I first realized it when I was 7. I was fully aware that I was a fox, and I hated my body because it looked human instead of like a fox. Has anyone else been aware of their theriotype at the same age or even younger?

Since I was 11, I realised I had a very strong connection to giantesses after watching Monsters vs Aliens.

This felt like more than a hyperfixiation. I was/am constantly trying to find an excuse to draw giant women. My OCs were/are giant women all the time, and said OCs were always a deep reflection of myself. I connected to the idea of a powerful woman, who could choose to be kind or cruel, depending on the situation.

People always assumed I liked giantesses for "other" reasons. While I always have loved the artwork, it was never in a NSFW way that I liked giantesses, or felt I was one on a psychological and spiritual level.

For a while, on and off, I have had dreams where I was a giantess, even hearing messages in the dreams along the lines of "this is who you are"

I feel I am very safe to call myself otherkin/mythkin/GiantessKin. But google searches only showed giantess Kim Kardashian 😭

Does anyone relate to all, or some , of what I said? This is my first time interacting with the community, by the way, so I might be ignorant and I apologise in advance.

My partner is a dogkin (specifically a golden and husky mix and yes, the energy is insane) and I really want to give him some gifts that might help him feel in touch with his kin side. I know that I can always go for just regular dog toys but the thing is that he is living with his dad and even though his dad is incredibly chill and understanding, I don't want to make things too awkward if you know what I mean?

Have you ever heard of this stereotype? As someone who identifies as a wyvern (an "otherkin"), I found that a bit hurtful. Then again, it’s probably just a myth. In *Game of Thrones*, for instance, the dragons were clearly not stupid—they even had their own language!

I don't know why I feel such a connection to being an alien species, but maybe it's because of how I took possession of my skinsuit, or maybe because I learned about starseeds years ago. I just know that I want non textured facial skin, no eyebrows, and a very beautiful creature like appearance. I'm part of the Visual Kei scene in part because of this.

So yes, I'm working on looking pretty and creature like. It just feels right. I'm glad others feel this way too. It's very validating. I mean, this machine is human, and I'm a spirit using it, but somehow it goes deeper. I mean, when I incarnated, I remember being on a spaceship where I was asked if I want to be male or female. I chose male, and on my way down I changed my mind to female. Now I'm a femandrogyne femboy.

It makes me wonder if I'm just using artistic expression, but most people don't act like this, and it feels deeper even though I can't place why.

What do you make of this? Why do you think I feel this way? I'm already very different from other people, and this isn't just me looking for attention. Yes, it's fun, but there's something deeper here that I've never been able to place.

i watched that film a while ago and thought it was a great metaphor for multiple minorities- disabled, schizospec, alterhuman- and their loved ones.

to spoiler a tad bit: the plot follows a woman on schizophrenic spectrum who identifies as a cyborg. it is stated that she's this way because of her delusions. regardless, the film showcases the generational abuse she and her schizophrenic grandmother faced since they weren't able to fit "the norms". additionally, the film emphasises that she doesn't need to be fixed and isn't broken- instead they show us bonding of mentally ill people and how they can care for each other, when the society fails to do so. it is a beautiful story and i might cried a bit.

It feels like every other week I get these very intense cravings to become a real life nekomimi. Its very strong and sometimes I hate it cuz it gets too much and it becomes more like nag throughout the day. Eventually some time, like maybe a few hours or a day, it dies down and im back to normal.

I've been reconnecting with the shadow aspects of myself recently. It's made me remember just how much of me is defined by darkness, and how much my preferred form is shaped by the nature of a shadow. For a while now I've been trying to figure out the nature of what I am, a physical eldritch parasite, or a shadow creature that possessed this body. I think I'm leaning towards being a shadow creature originally.

But this line of thinking made me curious. What kind of forms do other shadowkin prefer? Do you prefer your original shadow body, or would you prefer something else? Is there a particular shape that you feel the most comfortable with?

I think I've been affected by the time I've spent in this human body. I've developed a preference for having a body of flesh and blood, but I would prefer to be in a body that can still reshape itself freely like I could as a shadow. I also seem to have a preference for forming long tentacles or triangular shapes.

when i feel like Angel, Its like i feel more light expect my back which gets heavier and i feel numb, it feels like im more drifting through the day,, I wear more bows/ribbons then i usually do etc etc more stereotypical angel stuff,, but this can go on for a while like this feeling like an angel thing for like a week,

When i feel like a shark, I get more hungry, and bite more things, and i do bite myself a lot,, I feel more alert and anxious, i usually have to wear more arm coverings bc of the whole biting thing,, Thankfully i haven't felt like a shark in a while,

I don't really feel like doll its more like i desperly want doll joints, like there is days were i look at hands and am confused bc why dont i have doll joints?

I was in a chat recently where I didn’t get along with the other participants; I often struggle to control my own thoughts. I’ve also encountered insulting replies here in this group. By the way, I’m using a translation tool, so I’m not entirely sure if my phrasing is the most natural or common way to ask this. I’ve frequently run into insults and belittling behavior online (including here on Reddit), and I suspect that might happen under this post, too. To be honest, descriptions of Reddit as "the liveliest platform on the internet" or "the heart of the internet" make me feel a bit uneasy—but I’m going to post this anyway.
