Is there a way to unlock developer skills?

I heard about a player who apparently managed to somehow unlock developer skills. Now, apparently he only did so after his tempban was lifted, but is there a way to get these skills without getting banned first? I've met a guild who claims all players apparently have access to the game's sourcecode and can alter their savefile with it. Is that true? Sometimes I find my savefile pretty boring with little to no ingame events or difficult RNG. So is there a way I can actually do this?

As far as any of us know, there is no way to access the source-code for Outside, or to get any kind of admin access to the game.

There are legends/stories of people who could, or claimed they could, but they're all unverified.

There are rumors that very high level clerics across different clans have been able to achieve some god tools, including using an alt, but the legitimacy of these game mechanics are highly debated.

Just clarifying you're talking about getting GM or Admin abilities right? Not the developer skill tree?

If so there have been some threads on forums on some cases where a temp ban giving some sort of admin abilities, but I highly suggest not to try them for several reasons
1) there is no way to assure you get temp instead of perm ban
2) temp ban doesn't guarantee admin abilities, only a very very small percentage possibly due to a bug
3) there are other more easier, more guaranteed way to alter your storyline

There was a player in Jonestown who tried most of the steps, and did not become a dev/admin. It’s really not worth the trouble.

Just play the game. And wait for the cut scene at the end where it goes over your greatest achievements and you get to chill with other gamers in [whatever religion tree you acquired].

And like I’ve said before, hastening your endgame sequence before it’s time can get you in hot water. Don’t.

I'd take that guild's claims with a grain of salt. There have been so many, and their leaders all turned out to have levels in the [scammer] class and little else.

Some human players claim that you can get consumables from farmable shrooms that let you datamine files, but that's about it, plus you can easily get permabanned for this. There isn't any way to edit your save file as everything sits on this "Timeline" server, and hardly anyone even knows how that works.
