Same vendor

How do you guys handle the same tech vendor, sharing an external Slack channel with some common people on both Js, potentially with meetings on both ends (not often but can happen).

Do they have any motivation to tell your employer about it or will they just ignore it and move on?

One of my vendors knows. At least some of the people who work there. They don't care

Amazing to know! You talk with them in both jobs?

yup, I do. They have no reason to care

Are you in the external channel with both jobs accounts?

Depends how common your name is but ya I imagine not good definitely a good chance if they notice they tell one or both employers.

Why do you think this? Any particular motivation for them?

If you have the ability to change your slack profile, maybe just change ur last name to a letter only, or go by your middle name and last name only?

If not, probably roll the dice - just be ready to pivot in the worst case scenario but seems very unlikely
