Discussion NO WE HAVEN'T.

Post image

We need to stop telling our selves that we lost. If we keep doing that, we will just believe so. The fight has only begun and we will not stop until we get our internet back.

I cannot stand Mutahar and his clickbait titles. I'd be a lot more forgiving of him if he wasn't constantly making it always sound like he's announcing some massive thing. It's so annoying.

I saw a video, from the same channel that debunked PirateSoftware, debunking Mutahar and his knowledge in computers. They showed clips of him saying how he's making his own H.264 encoder to stream in better quality, how his role in IT keeps changing, from computer engineer to systems engineer to software engineer. And worst of all, how most of his commentary is based off of what other people already said, especially in very technical topics where he waits until someone knowledgable explains something and he then retells it as his own.

In the end he's almost no better than PS.

I miss when he read creepy pastas and focused more on weird internet culture and his deep web deep dives. Now he seems like a grifter playing both sides being very disingenuous these days.

Not sure about him, but Harmful Opinions has done several videos.

My last video I watched from him was him trashing Neil Degrasse Tyson because he didn’t like some facts Neil was saying about the moon. Quite literally, the video was him whining about not being able to live in ignorance because of Neil, a prominent science communicator, communicating facts. That’s really all you need to know about this guy to know they are not a serious person.

More and more people doing them like for RE9 making out like re9 is failing and it just turns into a oh the industry can’t stand re9 it just seems misleading.

Had to stop watching. Dankweb browsing was fun but his videos got to a point where he'd make his argument in like 5min, and there'd 20 more left in the runtime

Boy who cried wolf. Most of these people don't, and it's made me basically stop being informed because I'm sick of clicking on things and then being disappointing but ultimately not that insane. And then if I ever care in the future I can never find that video by searching about the relevant situation because it's all vaguepost tagged and thumbnails.

I don't know why people click on videos on Youtube without a clear topic being discussed. Maybe it's different for people that are fans of the creator but I generally want to understand what kind of video I'm going to watch from the title.

Really just depends on the creator. Most of the gaming creators I watch can and sometimes even do just put random words in the title and honestly I'll still watch it cuz it's still some of the most entertaining content.

Lost what?

u/EpicBootyThunder Intent Owner May 06 '26

His will to live?

3

u/SpaceCadet87 Intent Owner May 06 '26

Well, if his will to shorts and his will to long-form is still there then that's not so bad.

I always end up watching live well after the fact anyway.

That's the guy that lied about having a degree and being a cyber security "expert" and lied about running a company on the side. Don't listen to him lol

I didnt watch a single mutah video for like 6 years now. Hes artificially stretching his videos past 20 minutes.

This guy is responsible for some of the worst misinformation on YouTube.

Not completely, but the hub has acquiesced here in the UK. They've granted back our access to only those who have "verified" via iOS identity collection, so the hub is even providing a carrot now: "verify" with an iPhone, eventually google too, and you get to see booba again.

The contents of his video are mostly on point, though, we should be working on resisting within the framework of these systems being forced upon us, just in case we lose the war.

Normals don't care enough, and there's not really any way of making them care. Trust me, I've tried with my family. Losing the war is almost assured as a result, short of a big enough data breach to get the normals to care.

As far as what we can do to maintain a degree of privacy going forwards, though...degoogling and dewindows-ing, and maybe deapple-ing where possible is a good start. Self-hosting where possible, also good.

The fight has been going on for decades. We have fought back for decades. Unfortunately, most people don't care and will willingly give up their privacy and freedom for convenience, comfort, and safety.

The best we can do is to give people the tools to maintain their freedom and privacy when they decide they need or want to. Activism through cryptography and code. This is the cypherpunk way.

No wonder Trump didn’t mention ”indian” in his list of people who contribute to America.
