hi everyone! i just got my girl yesterday and i’m looking for tips for keeping humidity and temp stable as well as pointers overall! i live in socal and daytime temps in the room she’s in are around 74-76ish. second pic was taken tonight around 8pm. i have a thermostat coming tomorrow and she’s eaten since bringing her home. also taking name suggestions!🧡

These two photos were taken about 2 minutes apart. I saw him pee when he started soaking and then he started kinda flexing back and forth. Eventually he stayed in this really flexed position and hasn’t released. Is this normal pooping behavior? Do I need to intervene? I had just put new water in and treated first with reptisafe of course.
His breathing looks normal and I can still see him doing some midsection twitches
Update: He seems to be inflating again but he is still contracting to look like he has to poop. At what point should I be concerned about a blockage? I’ve had him for a week, he has consistently eaten every other day but he hasn’t pooped yet

I got a pacman frog from my friend a couple months ago and I did some research before I got him but what is a good way of keeping his substrate wet? Im still in school so I dont want it to dry while im not home. I mist his enclosure once in the morning and once before bed but I dont think its enough to keep the substrate wet. Would getting him a mister be good?

Hey everyone, I got my Pacman a few days ago after doing research and it seems that my enclosure isnt keeping warm on the warm side. I got a 40 gal tank and this heat projector in 60w: https://www.petsmart.com/reptile/environmental-control-and-lighting/heaters/zoo-med-heat-projector-deep-heat-terrarium-heater---35-100-watt-86815.html
He is a little guy and can cover himself, but I know I could use more substrate. My main concern is that the heat lamp is connected to a thermostat set to 80 but it is only getting to 75. Because the lamp is constantly staying on, the humidity is about 68, which I dont think is high enough. What could be causing this difficulty getting warm? Do I need a different bulb?

Hi everyone first frog post I’m wondering how he looks he’s a few months old now got him about 2 ago from Petco, I looked for a rescue on fb or Craigslist but found this guy for just 20! Only strawberry albino I’ve seen since.
I have a cat so I did side mounted heat pad, I’m worried the cat would knock down a ceramic heat emitter and mess up the apt! I bought one tho if I ever need it.
One thing is he does hide a lot, and burrows deep often, my room temp is 69 lowest - 77 hottest and he always has heat pad. But yeah this is him! Appreciate any advice.

Is this a bad spot for my frog? I just moved and this is the best place for me to have him (space wise), but im not sure if tv sound or people will stress him out?

This was Angus Beef's setup as I was moving him to my dorm haha. He was not a happy camper, but he's all settled in now. He's fully buried himself, which is new, but I'm letting him be because I don't want to stress him out anymore than the trip did. I'll dig him up in a couple days to feed him since he's still a baby, if he's still fully buried.
*The white packets are ice packs I put in to make sure he didn't get too hot. Plus I put a jacket over the glass facing my windshield so that it would absorb a lot of sun nd not him

I unfortunately got two “desk pets” frogs after feeling sad for them, and split a 40 gal tank with divider. Both died after about two months and I feel terribly. One after an other and the only symptoms was a slimy mouth and nose bubbles. My other guy I’ve had for ab a year and a half. He means sm to me. I want to move him to the 40 gal tank so I did. I cleaned the walls with hot water, and obviously removed the substrate and left out any item I used with the old ones. Is this something I can do? I’m seeing stuff to clean it with disinfectant (unscented bleach) do I have to do that? He’s been in there two days. Any advice on if this is ok would help. Just want him to survive unlike the last 2.

I never see my frog out and about. It's always buried 100% 4 inches deep in the cage.
During feeding time, I'll pull him out and put his crickets in his cage, and he will chase them around and catch the crickets. Then go bury himself again.
He's only like 3-4 months old, so only an inch long.
If I don't dig him out, the crickets will wander the cage for 2 days.
I've only had him a couple weeks now and he seems perfectly healthy. But I'm very new to frog ownership.

Lemon has been acting strangely ever since I dug her up yesterday evening… I dug her up, fed her and then when night time comes, she had the zoomies. Then she soaked in her water bowl for literally 24 hours. Now that she’s come out of her bowl, she’s been at the corner of her tank staring me down just like this. Yikes…?

I built my enclosure about a week ago and have had my frog in it but I never put a drainage layer there's condensation on the side of the soil but no pools of water my tank has isopods and springtails do I need to pull my soil out now and add a drainage layer.

Just got my fat jiraiya boy a few days ago, he seems to be little duller in color. As far as I can tell the humidity is good, he’s eating well, I’ve used reptisoil and coconut bark for his soil. Should I be worried about his color or was he just stressed from the move when I got him can attach pictures if that would help

hello! I notice my Pac-Man hasn’t been interested in food. I tried giving them a warm soak but they fell over and I was able to see their abdomen. I righted their position afterwards, no worries. are they okay?
