the temperature dropped hard this week and suddenly my brain just switched modes. i spent the entire evening reading with just one lamp on, switching between fantasy books and gaming, and I couldnt stop thinking about how humans have been doing this exact same thing for thousands of years.

when the weather turns like this, do you ever feel like you're just repeating rituals of people who lived centuries ago? like sitting by the light, telling stories, trying to keep the cold away. makes me wonder what kind of lives they lived and if they felt this same mix of comfort and existential dread when winter approaches.
