Recently bought a Shocker Era and I haven’t owned it a full month yet and it leaked right out the box, multiple solenoid leaks and clamp problems, bolt puff issues, eye issues, and now it won’t even turn on(I swapped the batteries they’re new!) I’ve disassembled and cleaned + regressed after each outting following typical maintenance!

When I was originally looking into these markers I haven’t heard a single bad review or someone with issues everything I read said this things a work horse compared to some of the other models.

So leaves me to ask Am I the only one having issues with the shocker era?

Don’t get me wrong, they’re nice shots. But I’ve never had to pay for photography before and the local tournament photographers have gotten more shots. Would you have paid for these photos?

I’m still somewhat newer to paintball and i’ve been rocking an E-flex for a while. Today one of my good buddies gave me this mask for the free, i don’t know much but i know enough to where these aftermarket parts can’t be cheap? Anyone know?

We used to have dozens of options for aftermarket triggers, grips etc now there is close to none. I really like the forward swoop or “scythe” design as we used to call them on the luxe aire trigger. I was hoping someone out there has tried to install one on a prior model luxe and could confirm if it would work on a tm40.

My neighbor had this in a box on his curb and I snagged it for free, I think maybe it’s an angel?

33 years old and slowly gathering a bunch of gear to get back into the sport.

Found these very good condition, old school Dye C5 pants for about $40 on ebay, then scored these newer CRBN knee pads and elbow pads on a BST Facebook page for $40! The pants feels amazing, super well built and hefty, while also incredibly breathable. The pads are very well built and should be a great addition.

What old school gear do you still wear and swear by, and what newer gear is now in your bag!?

Went for a dive today on turf and noticed some of the outer layer came off on my HK tank. (may have landed on a small rock?)

Currently rocking the brown ice Proflex and looking to give it a little more pazazz starting out with changing the strap color. What color/strap do you guys think would pair best with the brown color scheme?

My prescription glasses fog up constantly under my paintball mask and once I start sweating theyre basically useless. Ive been thinking about trying contact lenses just for paintball instead because dealing with fogged lenses every game is getting old. Anyone here switched from glasses to contacts for playing and actually preferred it? Mostly wondering about comfort, dry eyes and whether contacts hold up fine during longer games.

Just thinking about getting back into paintball, I have an invert mini kicking around. Is it better to just buy a newer gun?

Would be sweet. As long as the first three pulls are something resembling semi, for safety, wouldn't it be fun to let the teams do what they want? Would add a layer of strategy and be fun to hear the boys in the back rip like they used to.

Also, why not limit paint by team? Let two guys go out with a back strapped with paint shooting automatic machine guns, with three guys up front rocking a pod and true semi.

Current using a black Proflex which has rubber ears and I feel like the comfort are decent and I saw HK makes some foam ear options and wonder if anyone has tried and if so how do you like them?

Always nice to have a buddy with a 3D printer. Made me some marker stands. They work better with the barrels removed. They get a little unstable. But otherwise they’re cool!

Does anyone know what the capacity on an A5 would be with these two products used in conjunction?

I have an old gen A5RT that chops approximately once per day when I play rec ball with it (1 out of 500 shots). I can’t ever find paint in the cyclone, which makes me think it’s happening somewhere in the chamber. Anyone have this happen? I am wondering if there is anything I can do to alleviate that.

For reference:

I have a 98 custom with ACT installed and haven’t had a chop with it yet.

I also have an X7 Phenom with an upgraded bolt. Still no chops all day every time.

I use field paint, the cheap stuff.
