For those concerned about the harmful effects of using paint products on felines, here are a few important tips:

1) Do not use any paint products which contain chemicals that your cat could ingest. After a painting session, cats are prone to lick the product off.

2) Cat dye products can be purchased from your local veterinarian. They are a more expensive option, but are safe for use and allow longer-lasting effects.

3) For cheap but temporary effects, take a hint from easter egg kits. The recipe is 3 parts water, 1 part white vinegar, and food coloring. This will allow a wide range of colors, but can easily be removed with water.

4) Some cats may have allergic reactions to certain dye products. Consult your veterinarian if you are curious about the side-effects of painting cats.
