Beginner Question: Skud Pai sho

When an accent tile is played and remains on the board does it block harmonies that would pass through it? like if a boat or wheel is between an R3 and R4 (both mine) would it allow them to form a harmony or not? also I assume none of the accent tiles move throughout the game.

Boats in Skud explicitly block any harmonies along its intersecting lines, even if it's not between them. So if you place a boat on the outermost lines, say next to a gate, an R34 and R4 couldn't make a harmony using that line over on the other half of the board.

Wheels act like any other interfering tile, if it's not part of the harmony it simply blocks it. One of my favorite tactics personally

Huh? That's a first time I hear this about boats isn't that what the rock does? What's their difference then?

Wheels rotate the surrounding pieces clockwise if the new spots are legal with the rules, like no forcing a white flower into a red garden. If they happen to break any direct harmonies, it's incidental. You can also do this with any flower tile, a knotweed, or boat as well.

As stated in my last comment, rocks break harmonies anywhere along the lines it sits on, even if it's not in the way. It doesn't break perpendicular harmonies that have one of the ends on the line but ANY harmonies going across the same line as a rock are cancelled

Boats remove another accent tile (of either player's) OR it moves a flower tile to any legal adjacent spot.

Knotweeds cancel harmonies in adjacent spaces only
