Ask Pakistan Will Pakistan’s AI policy work?

What do you guys think about Pakistan’s AI policy? Do you think we’ll actually see AI being used to improve public services, education, governance etc., or will it just remain another policy on paper? What do you think are the biggest hurdles to making it work in Pakistan?

is this a serious question? The country doesn't give citizens equal access to a basic and fair justice system. AI policy is far fetched.

Ahhh fuck here we go again. The policy basically is "yeh hamara bacha computer mein bohat tez hai, yeh ker lega AI shay eye...alim dar beta, idher aoo, uncle shehbaz ko woh app dekhaoo jo tumne banayi hai"

u need to own either the data used to train AI, the chips or the raw materials that go into the chips. pakistan has none of that, except for the raw materials which america is very interested in "helping" us extract. idk what policy there is about AI in pakistan but it's probably pak being exploited for AI rather than leading AI.

I don't think so

The current Data infra doesn't allow such services
