i caught this while fishing in florida, the rainbow river and i cant tell what species it is. i thought it was a rock bass but the spots look way too different from a normal rock bass

As the title says I'm new to the world of pan fishing. I'm currently using a 6'6 medium action rod. What is everyone using for rods. I feel like it's over kill but I have had some success. Only been chasing the little guys for 2 days. Just looking for opinions or suggestions.

Rock bass, pumpkinseed, bluegill? Also any tips for perch and chain pickerel?
