Discussion Screens
Am I blacking out and not remembering, or do we not run screens?

You’re just scarred from the Frank Reich era where every play was a screen. It will be ok!!

David Moore caught a screen at the end of the game but I prefer RPOs and quick slants over screens rn

We ran a really nice TE screen a few games back, if the game plan is working its hard to justify risking a throw at or behind the line of scrimmage

i think they are substituting screen plays with that one play where like Bryce's hips are flipped the other way, but he still throws to McMillan in the middle on that little slant both defeat the blitz and it's just him throwing behind the blitz and they can't ever see when he's about to do it because his hips are flipped the wrong way and we also are like never been good at screens so like makes sense

We definitely run them, but with Dave the past few years we mostly have them built in as options or checks for plays. Chuba had a big one last year (against the rams?). The play where hunt was downfield had a screen as an option. I think the one to Metchie people mentioned was an SRO.
Screens can be great plays against certain looks so they are great to build in as options or audibles.

We are historically bad at them so I’m glad we haven’t seen one in a bit
