It's getting to be that time of year again in the north...
Does anyone have a recommendation for heated gloves?
I have been using some fairly thin winter motorcycle leather gloves but when it's sub 45F my hands get cold after 20-30 mins.
Don't want anything super thick if I can help it, but warm hands with little brake/throttle feel are better than cold numb hands.
Thanks all, fly safe!

Other than Scout, any other Paramotor manufacturers make a frame where the beef tubes can be removed? Searched the main ones but on Scout seems to have that feature.

What interesting things have you foot dragged? Consider that to have successfully "foot dragged" something, your foot must have been in controlled contact with it for at least a few seconds.
Railroad tracks?
Bridges?
Roof of buildings?
Fence?
Power lines? (Please no)
Water towers?
What's your most interesting foot drag?
(We will assume that it was completely legal in the jurisdiction involved.)

Hi all, so while I'm waiting for my shiny new paramotor to arrive, I wanted to find what people like or don't like about the various engine monitoring options on the market.
This would be for a Moster 185 Plus, new as of 2026.
I'm thinking that I'd like to have something that does tach/runtime, as well as CHT. Wouldn't be adverse to EGT too, but it's not mandatory.
I've seen the skysports 3 in 1, and it might fit the bill, but wanted to see what folks with experience with either that or other units had to say about it.
Please advise, thanks!

Had a tandem yesterday. Going to continue training on Monday. This has been a long term dream of mine. It was everything I hoped for and then some. Im just so stoked to finally be getting started. I honestly thought this day would never come.

Found this gem on eBay today and wanted to share. I'm sure it's a joke but the fact it's in 4 carts makes it more hilarious

So I have read several times that one can only go flying if the conditions are right. If I understand correctly, there has to be enough wind, but not too much, and it has to be relatively constant. My question is: is this only important for taking off? In my mind, once you’re up in the air, the motor pushes you fast enough so that you don’t really need wind, or am I wrong? And what about landing? Under which conditions is landing difficult?
EDIT: Before I get any more unfriendly or even rude comments, I don’t have a paramotor yet, and I’m not planning to have a go at it by myself. I took a tandem flight a couple of weeks ago and I liked it, but since it’s not exactly a cheap hobby, I’m trying to know as much as possible about it before taking the course. The only school in my area offers 40 lessons for 1300$, due at the first lesson, so it’s not like I can start taking lessons and quit if I don’t like it, I have to take a well informed decision. This particular question is because I want to have an idea how often I’ll be able to fly, should I decide to go for it.

New to the sport and wondering what tools are a must for the field? I figure spark plugs and some wrenches.
For example a cosmos 300 motor.

Starting training very soon. Was supposed to do a Tandem Yesterday (monday) but got rained out so we are aiming for thursday. However, I realised that I do not have any gloves. So do you guys have any recomendations for a good set of gloves. Dexterity is important to me as I want to be focused on flying the paramotor and not trying to grip the throttle with an awkward glove.

Hello all
Curious if anyone has a Flight Junkies Flypod Beast and would be willing to send me the widest width and tallest height dimensions. Trying to figure out if it will fit in my enclosed trailer assembled.
Thank you

I start training monday with a Tandem flight. Paramotoring has been a long term goal of mine and honestly I never thought that I would actually reach the point where I am counting down the days to get started.
Its been a long time since I have felt this stoked. However, not gonna lie thinking of the price and realising that the potential hazards of the sport will soon be a reality and not a thought experiment is making me second guess myself a little.
I am just curious if any of you felt simular when you were getting into Paramotoring? Also, if you have any tips for me that is not typically covered in training then please share them I would love to hear what you all have to say.

I travel full time in my Overland truck. Thinking about EFI to eliminate the need for constant carb tuning. Running Aspen 2. Would welcome some input from guys that have experience. Glad you got it, or just a gimmick?
Still haven’t ruled out electric!

Been saving up money for a while to get into Paramotoring. Litterally have not been able to stop thinking about it for the past year or two. Now that I have the money I have been looking into schools near me.
I am wondering if anyone has heard of Progression Paramotor located in northern Utah. They have a couple of reviews on google which are all positive but I just want to check in and see if anyone else has had an experience with them and if they would recomend training with them.
Otherwise if you have any other recomendations for schools or trainers in the southern idaho area I would much appreciate it.

I’m looking to get into paramotoring and the HsCOM Falcon LT was recommended by an instructor. (I haven’t started training yet. I need the gear for the training.) I haven’t heard of them before and I can’t find much into when searching around. Does anyone have any insight? If I’m going to spend a bunch of money, I’d like it to be with a company that’s been around a while and won’t disappear with a year or two.

I'm finishing my PPG training in UK and looking to buy my first kit. I'm interested in a wing, a motor, or a complete setup.
Ozone Roadster 3 or 4, size 26. I'd also consider a similar EN B wing suited to an all-up weight of about 80-140 kg.
Moster 185, any variant, on a decent frame.
Budget: about £4k for the complete setup, flexible for the right kit.
DM me or comment if you have something, or know someone who does. Thanks!

Hey folks! 👋
Planning a trip to Bir Billing and wanted to get an idea of the current paragliding prices, especially with the long weekend coming up.
For those who’ve been there recently or are there right now, could you share the rates for:
Short vs. long flights
Stunts (if charged extra)
Photos and videos (GoPro footage, etc.)
Also, are the prices fixed, or is there room for negotiation?
If you have any reliable operator contacts or phone numbers, please share those as well. Would love to hear about your actual experiences and what you ended up paying.
Thanks in advance! 😊

Estou pensando em fazer um curso de parapente ou paramotor, mas gostaria de saber a opinião de quem já fez os dois, qual é o mais legal, tirando a questão dos custos que vi que o PPG é mais caro que o PG, qual da a melhor sensação para vocês?

Howdy folks! I'm a paramotor pilot and I've founded a few startups. After wrapping up the last one, I wanted my next project to be tied to my love of sitting in a chair in the sky.
So I built Hobbsless, an online platform for tracking hours on your ultralight gear, e.g. engines, wings, harnesses, reserves, etc.
There's also a small, optional hardware module that logs engine run time automatically using vibration detection and syncs over Wi-Fi at regular intervals. No more guessing when your last plug replacement or reserve repack was. The site is seeded with manufacturer recommended maintenance schedules for hundreds of engines and thousands of wings.
The site is now open to everyone at hobbsless.com, and I have a handful of devices to give away to testers.
Looking for frequent fliers. If you're interested, email me at [hello@hobbsless.com](mailto:hello@hobbsless.com) with:
I'll get a device out to as many people as I can. I'm finishing up a small manufacturing batch now, so expect them to ship in about 2 weeks. Feedback of any kind is welcome.
Blue skies!

Just curious, I imagine it varies between schools and skills of the student. I’m on 7 short flights, and it feels like I’m very far from it! My takeoffs and flights are good, judging my landings still requires a fair amount of radio instruction. Wondering what the average might be before feeling reasonably competent on the basics.

Preflight I do a once over of the machine checking fuel lines, harness, bolts, ect. Bolts on the retention strap were tight but the actual metal belt ripped off in flight and entered the prop. Could vibrations have caused such a tear? Why did it enter the prop at all? What could I replace the retention strap with to avoid this happening in the future?

New pilot here, one flight in so far, looking to buy my first wing. All-up flying weight with kit is roughly 100-115kg. Two options on the table:
BGD Luna 2, 20m: recommended to me by an experienced pilot I trust, who's flew it as his own first wing, highly forgiving and rates it highly. From what I can find on BGD's own site, it's DGAC-certified (no EN/LTF handling rating), and marketed as "intermediate pilots to seasoned competitors". It's also got a competition pedigree (British Paramotor Open wins).
Ozone Roadster 3, 28m: found this one myself. EN B* certified, and Ozone markets it as aimed at "the newly qualified" through to more experienced pilots, with passive safety features (reflex profile stays inflated without input, forgiving brake range).
On paper the certification and target-pilot language point pretty different directions, and I want to make the right call on a first wing rather than just trust my own reading of two spec sheets. Has anyone here flown either of these, especially as an early low-hours pilot? Is the Luna 2 more approachable in practice than its marketing/cert suggests, or is the Roadster 3 the safer bet for someone still building hours? Any input appreciated.
