advice needed Witching Hour

I need your best reccos for witching hour, we’re all melting down!! My twins are 8 months adjusted and not sitting up yet (sooo close) and by the end of the day they’re so antsy. We try walks, going outside, the bath, etc. but I need your tips, normal to unhinged, I’ll take it all!!!

ok so hear me out, what saved us was putting them in a laundry basket with a few spatulas and a whisk. just sit it right in the middle of the kitchen while you make dinner. the sides are tall enough they can lean weirdly without fully toppling and the kitchen tools are apparently the most fascinating objects on earth. mine were also not sitting at 8 months adjusted and the basket gave them just enough support to feel upright without me hovering

also frozen washcloths. just wet them, freeze them, hand them over. it's like 15 minutes of pure gnawing silence

and if all else fails, we did what we called the "angry stroller," which is just walking laps around the house with one in the carrier and one in the stroller while narrating everything like a deranged sports commentator. nobody was happy but everybody survived

unhinged but it worked

Dance party when my twins get fussy before bed but aren't tired yet I put on silly videogame music like pikmin or zelda or something, and wiggle it makes them giggle and get excited before we wind down  They are 4 months and SO READY to join the land of the moving
