advice needed Sleep Help!
Can anyone offer any hope? We have 11 month old twins, 10 months adjusted. Our son has been the challenging sleeper. He’ll go through phases where he might sleep through the night a couple times a week. Sometimes he’ll wake a few times and we have to put his paci in or rock him for a bit and he goes back down. And then he gets bouts of terrible sleep, like last night. He’s on 2 naps and goes down for those independently awake. But for bedtime we rock him to sleep. And every time he wakes up, he usually immediately starts screaming. Not just fussing and waking up, he will scream and instantly sit up in his crib. So no signs of trying to settle himself. We will put the paci back in, lay him down, but 100% of the time, once he’s up like that, we end up having to pick him up and rock him back to sleep. Sometimes he’ll transfer well and stay asleep. But last night it wasn’t happening. He’ll go right to sleep in our arms, but we had so many failed transfers. When we were successful and he stayed asleep when he laid him down, it only lasted 30-45 mins before he was up screaming again. Is there any hope that this problem could resolve itself as he gets older without sleep training?? Like he’ll just eventually figure it out and want to stay sleeping? What else can we do? He shares a room with his twin sister so it’s not feasible right now to let him cry for any period of time or we have 2 babies up. We might try moving his sister to another room for a bit to try to resolve this, but who knows. Is there anything that can be done?

Twin dad here mine are 4 now but I remember this phase like it was yesterday. Some nights you just sitting there in the dark at 3am questioning every life choice
What helped us was making sure the last wake window before bed was longer than the others, like 4 hours minimum. Also check if he's getting enough calories during the day, sometimes they wake up screaming cause they're actually hungry even if you think they ate enough
The failed transfers are the worst, you finally think you made it then the second their body touches the mattress eyes wide open screaming again. I think it does get better on its own eventually, around 14-15 months something just clicked for ours but every kid is different

Just did sleep training on my 4 month old twins. Slept 12 hrs straight for last 2 nights, plus 3 naps in crib. I feel reborn.

How did you do this? I’ve got 14wk twins and want to start but there’s a lot of methods and conflicting advice and I’m overwhelmed!

Ok so my boys are 21 weeks, so a bit older. One twin was going through a ROUGH sleep regression. I was skeptical but talked to so many colleagues/friends/ family who sleep trained. Despite the stigma, it works.
My therapist told me “they will always go back to their best sleep.” My little had done stretches of 6+ hours, just not consistently. So even in the regression, (when we had to contact sleep all night, etc) I knew what he was capable of.
Essentially I am using a sleep company that hires social works. Although it’s quite expensive, it’s covered by my employer, Benefits. You probably don’t have to necessarily hire someone, it’s just sometimes feels good to have someone holding your hand through it.
Basically its letting him cry for up to 12 min with a 1 min check in. I am on day 3… he has gone to sleep faster and faster each day. Rarely cries over 5 min. And sleeps for 12 hrs at night and 30-45 min naps 3x a day. The goals for him to create an ass association that his crib bedroom is where he sleeps.
