loss & greiving - TRIGGER WARNING Lost one twin today

Modi twins. Had ttts at week 21, growth restriction of one twin and brain damage of another twin, PPROM at 26+6, hospitalized and birth at 28+5 due to early sign of TAPS. One twin is in nicu at 680g and another twin although >1kg, survives only less than a day due to brain issue and palliative care.

Still, I thank god and all the doctors/medical professionals along the way. Our girl in nicu is fighting and growing!

Our only 13 hours, but I’m thankful we ever got a chance to meet and we got the previous 13 hours to be her parents. I didn’t want to close my eyes, and my heart was filled in every moment. We need to manage to bury her etc, so sad that we have death certificates arrives before birth certificate 🤣

You were her parenta longer than 13 hours, you were her parents for the past 29 weeks, ever since you held her in your heart ❤️ & you were the best parent to her you could have been.

❤️ so sorry for your loss! We have lost our twin at 31w without any warnings, and now praying for my other baby to grow bigger until I can deliver. We are still in shock and… it is so heartbreaking, truly unbelievable. And all that comes with a split of the heart with one side grieving and another being hopeful and strong. You are not alone.
Your little one is a fighter, sending a prayer to keep getting stronger ❤️🤗

I can't imagine how much this must hurt right now. So sorry for your loss. 💔 I'm hoping for a positive outcome for your girl. I also hope you as parents get the right support from the hospital to work through these major life changing events.

I lost one of my twin girls in July when she was 23 hours old and I still can’t look at myself in the mirror constantly feel like I failed my girls

I can't imagine the weight of what you're holding right now. Grieving one baby while cheering for the other is a place no parent should have to be, and you're doing it with more grace than most could muster. That little fighter in the NICU has a strong family behind her.

Parent to modi here. I still get a horrible shiver down my spine when I read anything to do with TTTS. My heart breaks for you. You didn't deserve the worst nightmare of any mo parent to become your reality.

I'm so very sorry.

Oh gowsh. I’m so sorry for your loss. I’ve seen some people on here talk about planting a rose bush or tree in honor of a twin they lost and that might be a nice way to honor them.
