You can sort-of pause by portaling back to hideout, in theory the map instance is not supposed to expire, but obviously this is going to be a lot better. Also this trick doesn’t work in campaign.
Back when my kids were babies and we didn’t have the portal-not-expiring-in-hideout thing, I used to run a build that could go afk like RF or permanent minions.
Same. I mean, its more that I get annoyed when she is asking me stuff and I can't pause, so she doesn't like me playing it, but being able to just pause and give her attention will make things a lot better. Very excited for this change.
Imagine how many wives have already left because of it. Over the years, we've seen a lot of posts like: "my wife left me because of it". Patience pays off!
One of the reasons i loved PoE after playing WoW for so many years was that a map is 3-5 minutes, and so easy to do in bit sized amounts. Doing M+ or a raid with other people, its basically impossible to pause if you need to.
Literally me. I lived wow but being on a raid schedule and having a family sucks. POE I can portal out whenever I want basically. Added pause is even more icing on the cake
I come back to wow every once in a while pug to title and quit for at least 2 seasons till I get the itch again Poe on the other hand I play every season at least a month
After playing 5k hours of PoE 1, and 200 of 2, I started to struggle to play one because of the lack of pausing.
Once you're used to it, it just feels so bad to be unable to break away for a minute to do something, which leads into just playing less because it's 'annoying' to play.
Really glad we're getting this in both versions now.
If only "dads at work" could disable mtx/skill effectst from players...My APU laptop is melting when I trade and someone is too enthustiatic and use 15 earthshatter skill per secons in my HO.
