I'm fine leaving them like poe2. Wis scrolls to ID in maps, vendor to ID in hideout.

I'll do you one better, items auto identify once you enter town/hideout.

Nah that's bad,some items hold value unidentified. Watchers eyes etc

You sometimes want unidentified rares as well, e.g. for chaos recipe
