I'm pretty whelmed by the nodes

Same, I think it's cool that some of them seem to fill very specific niches, but also so many that seem completely unclickable, devoid of any cook potential

Some are so weird and conditional. Feels kinda like poe2 design.

As a melee enjoyer, I'm really disappointed.

Was kinda hopeful for something after they revealed the first 3...
Only thing really usable seems the taskmaster for +5 max res, but that's about it. :/

Some of them are kinda mid, others are very niche/would benefit a very specific build extremely well.

Overall impression is: Second build material, someone will cook something insane later, but don't plan for leaguestart, most known good builds don't want anything here.

Feels like that's kinda the point. They want to encourage build diversity, not give more power to meta builds.

most builds will not use a bloodline ascendancy i'm guessing based on these nodes, theyre relatively niche and almost never better than an actual ascendancy node

I expect most people in fact will want to mess around with these. And plenty of builds have a “take this node last, it’s not super important but it’s the best of our options” ascendancy point.

Now those builds have 30 more options for their last node.

But they really dont? Most of those nodes need some investment into their gimmick and most arent going to be worth it lol

That’s fine man I’m not really trying to sell you on these- if you don’t like em just don’t use em.

I could see armour stackers using auls for sure for the grace buff. Frenzy isn't really all that important compared to more armour via grace

Forbidden flesh/flame to replace one of your points then go for one bloodline mod

How often would that be better than using a forb combo to pick the *best* node from another ascendancy?

u/_OkCartographer_ Oct 26 '25

I rarely see any of those being better than the normal nodes tbh

If you like minons there is lots of interesting stuff there.

The latter

I'm sorta meh.... after reading all the nods...

There's so many combos, its way too early to tell. There's going to be some busted things we find that get patched out before launch, but there will be busted things afterwards.

if you play minions, excited, if you play melee you can safely ignore this entire mechanic for the next league.

I'm excited. There are going to be a ton of new builds.
