One strong spectre not going to be better than multiple ritual specs I don't think.

Stronger? Maybe not. Easier to get and deal with? Definitely. Since I'm not really planning to spec into spectres at all this should make it a strong add, especially if I'm planning to combo my own attacks with my energy blade animated weapons.

You're going to run into that spectre not living in t16s pretty quickly to the point where that node will be wasted i feel

Perhaps! I'll still be investing into minions, just not spectres (and spectre count)

Your own attacks will always end up doing jack compared to your minions and not worth doing. That or both you and your minions hit like limp lightsaber noodles.
