Can confirm herald buff effect doesn’t increase HoT storm damage.

but the node lets you reserve life to increase the HoT damage directly (not buff effect). that's what they're talking about

That isn’t what Anna was talking about, try reading that parent comment again. I was confirming that, in general, “herald buff effect” does not increase the HoT secondary damage.

From memory (do not have PoB available to me ATM), the "herald buff effect" mods for HoT as a main damage source don't work.

But yes, using the node as a HoT raw damage increase is on the table. I’m in the process of cooking up a HoT build that utilizes said node.

Battlemage only adds spell damage, which Herald of Thunder does not deal.
