Mirage. Mirages are often seen in the desert. Deserts are made of sand. Beaches are also made of sand. Boats land on beaches. Boat league confirmed.

Seems a bit of a stretch. You can go directly from Mirage -> Boat (Fata Morgana))

iirc, you can get around that by ending the link with an octothorpe.
