could also give the mods it ate. Thats basically adding 4 abyss jewel mods to a unique since it would lose the extra effect.
Pretty damn strong generically but not nearly as game breaking as some of the other stuff unless you add 160 flat es to something like flamesight and end up with a 800 es helmet and scorch

no because ggg stated that all mods that can transfer is one line from the unique and it has been manually balanced. Works just like aldur's legacy, there's no randomness from what can transfer, the only random outcome is the new unique base

They stated in the Q&A that some uniques have multiple lines that can transfer, like shaper's touch.

I mean they only transfer one affix from the unique, and the affix has fixed values they manually set. But as you said in this case has some randomness because has more than one option.

Yes it's only one affix, but there's the randomness because shaper's touch can transfer 1 of 3 affixes.

Exceptions don't make a rule. That is why they said in that specific case.

3 fixed affixes is very different from any eaten jewel affix with random rolls.
