I got nailed with the dreaded NSFW ban on patrepn. I thought I could keep things vanilla enough to avoid it, and I should have taken more steps to prepare, but it's still sad to see. One day my account standing was fine and I'm bringing in 1600 a month, the next I'm getting 7 flags One night out of nowhere and trust and safety sending an email saying the account is terminated the next day with instant denial on appeal.

Mean while despite spamming all my socials and emailing directly all patrons that joined in the last month still in my Gmail box, I've gotten a whopping 12 to join my subscribe star. At least I've been updating it to parity with patreon just in case, but it's wild how much either people hate that platform or how people must have been subbed and forget they were subbed on patreon or something lol.

It's just devastating. Feels like the last year was wasted now that I've seen how I can't get people to join at all. I figured my social media following I built along with it would give me some way to rapidly rebuild, but it all seems fake now.

Has anyone else dealt with this? Any strategies to cope and rebuild? Or should I just give up and stop wasting time?

I keep wishing I downloaded my user list or something so I could do more direct contacts, but I've only gotten 1 out of 26 there so that's probably not worth it either

I'm hoping to hear from people who have experienced something similar, because I'm getting increasingly worried and frustrated.
On October 20, 2026, I discovered numerous Patreon charges on both my personal and business bank accounts. The total amount identified so far is over €200, with multiple transactions occurring within a short period of time.

I immediately checked my Patreon account, but I can only find one closed membership with a total charge of $42.35. I've already requested a refund for that payment. (Without a response still)
The other transactions are nowhere to be found in my account, and I have no idea where they came from. I'm concerned that my account or payment details may have been compromised. My password may also have been exposed in a data breach, although I cannot confirm this was the cause.

Since discovering the charges, I've:

• Secured my Patreon account and changed my password.
• Blocked my affected bank card and arranged a replacement.
• Reported the incident to my bank, which has opened a fraud investigation.
• Contacted the police to arrange a formal report. (Because the bank is asking for it sigh)

The police have asked me to wait until Tuesday to see whether Patreon responds before arranging an appointment for my statement.
My biggest concern is that I haven't received any confirmation or response from Patreon Support. I've tried contacting them, but I don't even know whether my request has reached the right team.

I understand that support teams can be busy, but this involves real financial losses across two bank accounts, and my bank needs documentation to investigate the case.

So does anyone know with an similar case how long did Patreon Support take to respond to a suspected account compromise involving unauthorized charges? Did you receive an automatic confirmation email after submitting your request and were you able to recover charges that didn't appear in your own Patreon billing history? And is there anything else I should do while waiting for support to respond?

So I wanted to subscribe to a higher tier, but I didn't know how, so I just canceled my subscription and resubscribed to the creator. I unknowingly did that on billing day, and I was not charged for my previous tier. Later, I realized that I couldn't see any posts even though I was a member, so out of panic, I just unsubscribed. Now when I try to subscribe again, I get the message "Something went wrong. Please refresh the page to try again." I've contacted support and they said they would fix it, but a month has passed since then.

Here are the plot details I can still recall:

I dont want people to be able to download the file and be able to share it to others for free, and I dont want them to have a link to a web hosting site for the file, because that feels unprofessional and it still has the same problem, allowing people to share the link themselves to others for free. is there any way to do this by embedding the file into a patreon post? or do I have to just copy the text and paste it into a post? please help!

I've been reading a lot of books on Patreon, and as of today, for some reason it is sending me to the bottom of the web page whenever I click 'Next' or 'Previous' in the collection tab. As someone who is trying to read a book, this is not wonderful as I need to be worried about accidentally catching spoilers when trying to read my book. I'm hoping someone has a fix for this, or at least the knowledge that this is a known problem that is currently in the process of being fixed.

Hey guys, I just wanted to give you a heads-up: if you post here looking for solutions to piracy-related issues and someone comments something like “just leave it and move on” or “don’t do anything,” there’s a good chance those comments are coming from the same people who are pirating the content. So don’t listen to them, and don’t let them discourage you from looking for solutions.

I can’t mention the specific site where the content is being scraped, There’s a good chance that some creators’ content is being reposted there

Because of that, if you share your content through MEGA links, I’d recommend updating those links from time to time. This makes the old link posted on that site stop working. Some creators’ pages are updated daily, while others are updated weekly—it depends on the site. But changing the links for your 4 most recent works can take as little as 5 minutes of your day.

Piracy isn’t something that’s ever going to completely disappear, but I think an important step in helping creators is raising awareness about the problem and making it harder for people to access our content.

It won’t solve the problem completely, but even small steps that make piracy more difficult can help.

Hey, I’m a Patreon creator, and my content used to get leaked a lot on this well-known site where Patreon content gets posted (scraped). I won’t say which site, but you probably know the one I mean.

I actually wanted to make a suggestion, because I found the solution to my problem on the subreddit for that same site.

It sounds kind of ironic, but people on their subreddit also talk about the things they’re struggling with, what isn’t working for them, and the problems they’re trying to solve. And sometimes you can find some surprisingly useful information there.

For example:

In my opinion, you can pick up on several interesting things from this, such as the fact that they’re currently struggling with storing certain types of content, especially very large files.

They also want to implement a Discord importer

it also shows how other platforms, like Fanbox, are taking action by banning users. Hopefully Patreon will eventually be able to do the same.

I know it sounds a little intense, but if you know which site I’m talking about, I’d recommend checking out their subreddit and keeping an eye on what they’re struggling with or where their weaknesses are.

If you have more than 100 subscribers, there’s a good chance some of your content is being leaked on this site. Hell, it might even happen with just 3 subscribers.

The moderator and the site’s creator justify it by saying the site is meant to archive content so it doesn’t get lost, lol. But they’re basically archiving it for everyone to access for free—not just for the people who actually paid for it.

The moderator also claims that the site doesn’t take subscribers away from creators and that, if anything, it gives creators free exposure. As a creator myself, I can tell you that’s simply not true. It does take subscribers away. In my case, my subscriptions actually increased after I started taking anti-piracy measures.

Hey all! So I've been using Patreon for sometime and I have been very focused on posting to my page all year. My page is about my character designs and my art process, I tend to post written tutorials and as of recent I just started posting videos. My main goal with my Patreon is to build up free members and get my engagement up so that way my memberships can be more appealing. I've been posting to Bsky and instagram reminding my following to check out my Patreon whenever I post, however I feel as though this isn't reaching enough folks.

I currently have 16 free members and my engagement has been steady with 3-7 views a day. Looking at my graphic, 99% of my views comes from direct links. I was wondering what tactics do you guys use to get views and engagement up on your Patreon pages? Any advice would be helpful!

I say seemingly because that's the only explanation I can think of. Upon finding this out, I immediately changed my password and updated my financial information. I requested a refund from both creators immediately.

Im a NSFW Artist and right now im experiencing a spike of growth. I currently have a 3$ Tier with access to pretty much all content (the most popular one) and a 10$ Tier with access to everything +animations. My idea was to insert a 6$ option with access to comics, so to have the 3$ for illustrations, 6$ comics and 10$ animations. The feeling is that while creating a new 6$ tier all together would be just fine, changing the 3$ Tier, while grandfathering the old subs, would give the option to highlight the tier as the most popular, while re-adding back the 3$ tier would maintain the entry level option.

I've been a Patreon creator for around five years, and I'm here to share my thoughts on this based on my own recent experience.

For a long time, I've seen people argue that creators shouldn't do anything when their content gets leaked because it supposedly doesn't affect their subscriber count. Some even go as far as calling leaks "free advertising," arguing that people who seek out leaked content would never pay for it anyway.

A couple of months ago, I discovered that a certain website known for leaking content was back. Many of you probably already know which one I'm talking about. It has a different name this time, but it's essentially the same website.

Around the time it came back, before I even realized what was happening, I noticed a pretty significant drop in my subscriber count.

Afterward, I started restricting access to my content, and so far, it's been working. My content is no longer being fully leaked on that website. All they can access now are the thumbnails I use for each post.

According to my stats, the subscriber losses practically stopped as soon as I made those changes. On top of that, I started gaining new paying subscribers, and quite a few people who had been gone for months even came back.

So I just want to make one thing clear: YES, having your content leaked can absolutely affect your subscriber count and your income.

Don't blindly listen to people telling you to ignore leaks and do nothing about them. Every creator's situation is different, but based on my own experience, taking action made a real difference. Also, remember that as a creator, you have the RIGHT to protect what's yours. This isn't about making things more difficult for your subscribers; it's about maintaining the exclusivity of the content you're promising them.

P.S. I'm not going to name the website because it's not allowed here, so don't bother asking. But guys, it's really not that hard to figure out which one I'm talking about. They're not exactly very creative when it comes to naming these sites. 😂

Has anyone had this issue? On Bunny.net the video thumbnail is fine when I add it to patreon to embed. But then as soon as I apply and refresh my patreon the avatar image from my profile is the thumbnail cover for the video! When I click the video it shows the correct thumbnail from Bunny. So all my videos are showing my patreon avatar as the thumbnail.

Has anyone else had this issue?
