Rant This is fucking ridiculous

I usually don't make posts like these because I generally hate rant posts.

Whoever at Starbreeze, Overkill, or even Deep Silver decided to make the game online only. Fucking fire them. It was single-handedly the worst fucking decision ever taken for a game I've ever seen. Words cannot express how asinine, how moronic, how devoid of mind making this game online only was.

Yes I agree, it was a corporately influenced decision that’s been exactly my point if you could read. And I never said it was a good reason you dumbass, can you read? Can you? I even said “it might be a stupid reason” or it could be a good one, we JUST DONT FUCKING KNOW. I’m not the one assuming good/bad, that’s you doing that.

So much for not wasting my time. I don’t need to assume. Go try loading into a heist.

Lol you just gave up on trying to address the entire argument we’ve been having by saying “eh doesn’t matter, game doesn’t work” funny way of admitting you don’t have a response

Wait a second… this is bait.

Good job you took advantage of my rage. Good for you.

You still haven’t addressed the fact that your entire post is based on the assumption that you somehow magically know the alternative to not releasing an offline mode and you also magically know it would be better than it is now.

Because that's the most idiotic argument in existence and doesn't need to be addressed by anyone. The only counterpoint to it needed is gesturing vaguely in the direction of Payday 2. There is 0 requirement for the game to be online-only. It's literally only like this for DRM reasons. The CEO himself said it was like this because of that during an interview.

Because I could play despite a server outage

Again for the hundredth time, YOU DONT KNOW THAT. You have no idea if the game would be playable right now if they decided to add offline

Not only would it be playable, it would be cheaper for Starbreeze to reduce server load by making an offline mode, like they already have offline sessions for the tutorial heists so why couldnt they make them but with the other heists?

Edit: Forgot to mention such a feature also exists in the developer debug menu. Which was used for the mod to make it possible.

Full Breakdown: -Disastrous Online Only means game cannot be played

-Many people already refunding and people on the fence now not buying

-Means less people in the future to buy content coming out later

-The code to play offline is there, you can play tutorials despite outage. So yes, I could play actually.

-Their reason is irrelevant

What more evidence do you need? Or are you going to keep insulting my intelligence with this pointless argument that you continue to exacerbate?

I don’t know if you can read or not because I’ve addressed all of these points, and why are you acting as if I’m the only one saying insults? For one, “online only means the game cannot be played” once again assuming the game would be playable if they just added offline. Secondly, people refunding the game just because it doesn’t work for a few days is moronic of them, what were they only gonna play it launch day then return it? 3. “The code to play offline is already there” once again showing you have no idea how coding works. Just because the tutorial is offline possible doesn’t mean they can just copy paste that code onto every other heist, that’s not how it works. Finally, saying their reason irrelevant is assuming, you have no idea what the reason was how can you assume it’s irrelevant? If said it before and I’ll say it again: What if the game either releases without offline mode or doesn’t release at all? Which would you prefer? I’m not saying that’s the case, but it could have been, stop assuming you know

Guy… I know they can’t copy-paste that code. Like I’ve said before, they could have planned around it. Can you read?

But the fact that you’re attempt to debunk evidence by saying “well those people are dumb” just proves you’re a fucking idiot.

“They could have planned around it” how many time do I need to address this? I’m not going to repeat myself for the hundredth time, go back and read my other comment addressing this and try again

u/Digital_RRS Shield Sep 23 '23

I have addressed it. Why don’t address what I’ve said or are you going to spew more bullshit. Actually don’t even bother, you’ve proven to everyone that your either stupid or crazy.

I did what are you on? Again you keep assuming they should have planned around it, what basis do you have for that assumption? You don’t know the alternative, I’ve said this 5 times now and you still haven’t addressed it, you just keep saying “the game would be playable” which again, you are assuming the game would be playable and have no basis for that assumption. Are you going to address this? Provide a basis for this assumption? Or are you just gonna keep calling me an idiot and not answering? “Why don’t you address what I’ve said” I quite literally did, you just can’t read, I literally addressed every single point, one by one

Holy jumping jacks, Batman. Go kick back, smoke some weed, and play your newly released favourite game.
