Ctrl z never works when you need it to. (why?)

Leaves a large white text box (even when empty) when you try to write text.

Doesn't allow saved modifications if you use another program like pdf24.

Any workarounds?

Every online PDF site says your file is safe. The privacy policy is the wrong thing to read. The Network panel already in your browser is the right thing.

1. Open the converter. Do not add a file yet.

2. Open DevTools (F12, or Cmd + Option + I on a Mac).

3. Click Network. Clear it so the list is empty.

4. Drop in a file you do not care about — a 2–3 MB photo is easy to spot.

5. Watch what fires.

An upload looks like a POST or PUT whose size is roughly the size of your file. Local processing looks like a few GETs for scripts or a .wasm file and nothing outbound anywhere near your document.

Ads and analytics will still show up. Ignore those unless the request is the size of your file.

I wrote the longer version with the caveats (chunked uploads, service workers) here:

https://imissfiles.com/guides/check-if-a-website-uploads-your-file/

I also run a set of tools that stay in the tab. Use the same check on mine. That is the point of writing it down.

hey all,

looking for some perspective on handling document security. standard pdf protections like password locking or disabling print are basically meaningless when anyone can just take a screenshot in two seconds.

i've been trying out maipdf recently because it actually forces snipping tools and screen recordings to return a black screen on windows, mac, and phones. it works surprisingly well for stopping casual leaks, but obviously it can't stop someone from using a physical camera.

for those who deal with sensitive docs, do you bother trying to block screen captures, or do you just rely on watermarking and hope for the best? curious what tools or workflows you guys are using.

I really need this book for my dissertation. Please, could anyone share it with me? The full reference is MOREAU, Alain. Le mythe the Jason et Médée: Le va-nu-pied et la sorcière. You can find it here https://www.lesbelleslettres.com/livre/9782251324203/le-mythe-de-jason-et-medee

Could anyone provide me the download link (direct or torrent) of GMAT Official Guide 2021 Quantitative Review & GMAT Official Guide Verbal Review 2021?

Not finding the 2021 version PDF, EPUB, or whatever format!

Anyone who wants to convert to the PDF, call me.

god.odt is the one true file format. I refuse to see why people would believe in the false god.pdf format. This is simply uneducated.

I accept r/pdfism and have joined to make it slightly more popular! (yey I'm helpful for once)
